Some Methods of Fundraising
« on: March 26, 2007, 11:28:19 PM »
1. First and Foremost having a Web Page which talks about WHY people's donations are NEEDED would be appropriate. The site should also tell people WHERE their money would be going and HOW it is going to be used by the organization. This creates confidence and trust between the donor and the organization.

2. There ABSOLUTELY should be a method to donate through a secure server that is NOT just through Paypal. For an example of a rapidly growing political organization that is doing well monetarily check out this site: https://secure.downsizedc.org/contribute/

3. Hold fundraising Cocktail Parties and/or Dinners. Invite well known people to speak at these dinners/cocktail parties. Make sure they are people who are in agreement with at least a majority of the cause's issues. Make sure that person plays up the JTF, talks about what the JTF is doing, where the organization is going...always look to the future and talk about how the donor's money is going to really HELP. Then make sure the person is someone who can ask for the donations and be a smooth enough talker to deliver.

4. Advertise. Word of Mouth is no longer completely effective and is out-dated. Advertise in the Jewish communities around North America especially. Not only is there more money here, but idealogically I think there are more people that lean to Hawkish views in regards to Israel than there are doves.  Advertisements for the JTF can take the form of flyers, internet ads, video ads that can be broadcast on YouTUBE etc.

5. Two words: SOUND BITES...Make 15 to 30 second video commercials that tantalizingly and subtly (maybe not so subtly even!) make a specific CALL TO ACTION on the part of the Jewish community. This is how you play politics these days. Study how the presidential campaigns work...then copy them to a certain degree. They're proven to work.

6. PLAY for the hearts and minds of Jews everywhere, and play hard, play to win.  Make specific calls to join the JTF...showing the positive viewpoints Kahanism has to offer. Does Kahanism talk about family values? Talk about them in your sound-bites! Does Kahanism talk about ABSOLUTE Israeli Security? Talk about THAT in your sound bites. Talk about HOW Kahanism or how a Kahanist party would make Israel Secure...Give a SHORT example with knock-out background footage.

7. ASK if the audience agrees after the video commercial is over...then SHOW them a way they can get involved. SHOW them a way to Donate money. POINT them in the right direction.

With all due respect for the contributor of these fund-raising suggestions, I am convinced that the only way to attract Jewish donors, is to announce a $10,000.00/plate fundraising dinner, to help raise enough money to "silence all opposition to the peace process"; featuring Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and Madeline Albright as "guest speakers".

Can't agree with you more than that. This is the number 1 task.

This should be on the front page.
