Tracking down "fake" religious girls
« on: November 22, 2009, 02:00:02 PM »
Now they want to track down "fake" datiyot!
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1129873.html

Pretending to be frum is excellent! Menachem Begin, for all his faults, had a veneer of Judaism, solely acquired from the time he faked being frum as a yeshivah student hiding in a yeshivah when the British were hunting him to hang him!

Solely as a result of that experience, Begin used to put on Tefillin every day for the rest of his life.

By rubbing shoulders with Torah elements, or faking religiosity, even for bad motives, something good rubs off: החיצוניות מעוררת את הפנימיות

Besides: women shouldn't be in Zahal.

They have found that the only job women are better at than men in the Israeli Army, is as weapon instructresses!

Is there a point to this claim?
The banding together by the nations of the world against Israel is the guarantee that their time of destruction is near and the final redemption of the Jew at hand.

Menachim Begin's traditional beliefs were not "solely acquired" from time he spent hiding from British authorities in a yeshiva or otherwise.   He was raised in a traditional family and had values in Judaism due to what his parents passed on to him.    He wasn't some anachronistic modern-day chiloni who just mimicked yeshiva bochurim and suddenly he became frum.   Why do you constantly tell ridiculous fairy tales on here?    Your dishonesty, hyperbole, and delusional wishful thinking makes religious people look BAD, not good.

We are not talking about "traditional beliefs", which most Jews have.

We are talking about the practical physical observance of even one mitzva.

As a secular Revisionist and follower of Jabotinsky, Begin in his young manhood used to be totally unobservant of mitzvos until his experience hiding in a kollel, where he even grew sidelocks: daily Tefillin and non-public Sabbath profanation stayed with him for the rest of his life.

A girl temporarily faking being religious to get out of the army will likely stay somewhat religious - that is what the Erev Ravniks are really afraid of: the prospect of chillanot becoming even somewhat Judaised!

They can't fear it because they do not believe that Torah is the truth. Only the person who really believes in divine origin of Torah can think that physical observance of mitzvot will arouse the inner feeling.

If you do a mitzva for the wrong reasons, eventually you'll come to do it for the right reasons.

This is true but how can the leftist secular army establishment believe in that?

Where do you get the idea that he never observed a single mitzvah?

Obviously you're right that they don't.   What they don't want is the secular girls to avoid army service by pretending to be religious plain and simple.   They consider the army service part of the induction to secular israeli culture.  Not only that, but if they start getting enough draft dodgers or a culture that promotes draft dodging, army could fall apart in their minds, or at least the capability to use it in ways they currently do.

Not everything is an evil erev rav antireligious conspiracy.

The number of 18 year old Jewesses who have been ravished and ruined over the decades by sexually rampant Bedouin and Druze Zahal soldiers is legion.

Let alone the myriads that have been seduced and deflowered by lothario full-time professional Army Jewish colonels and majors promising girls promotion in return for "favours".

The "Jewish" army is no place for a Jewish maidel!

Though things may be better than they once were, as girls are less naive today, the sexualy predatoriness of men in general is in decline, and the enforcement of  punishments for "extra-lliasons" while in uniform have tightened up.

Really, where'd you get that from?   Took a survey?  Analyzed the drinking water?  Or just another made up mystical factoid on which to base your wacky theories?  LOL

Yitzhak Mordechai is the classic case of the sexually profligate Israeli officer, but who was caught!

Rav Kahane was drive spare by the antics of the Arab students with Jewesses at Hebrew University. Kal v'chomer in the army. I know of several women who were intimate with non-Jews whom they met in Zahal: it's inevitable - it's human nature.

But the Torah is not human, and the Jew is meant to be something more than human!

I agree that women should not be involved in combat missions unless there is no other option...

But I believe that women should be allowed to serve and can serve.

I hope that the intermingling with the arabs is not rampant.

"Entering the army at 18, for most young women means their first experience away from home and their introduction to sexual intercourse. At headquarters there is much socialising, encouraged by regular army officers. Frequent parties are held , and the easy-going familiarity promotes an eroticism that is distinctly Jewish." (Zeev Schiff, "A History of the Israeli Army" p124)!

'Jewish eroticism' is a new concept that does not exist outside of the minds of a few arch-secularist Israelis!

I was stating that as a general principle. Obviously non-religious Jews who will go to the army are just that - - -not religious.
