Not wise, most of those ships probably have the latest AEGIS systems and could destroy F-16's without too much difficulty, those ships are armed to the teeth and their systems are extremely advanced that would destroy anything within it's range.

The question is whether the Turkish military, who are not Muslim fanatics nor idiots, will obey Erdogan if he ordered them to attack Israel, let alone escort more ships to Gazan Arabs, whom most Turks utterly despise, knowing that in extremis, they could lose everything, & even end up returning to find Istanbul a slag heap of radioactive molten glass!

In first place I do not think he'd be so stupid to give such an order. BUT: I have read a long article about the "new Turkey". Erdogan has in all those years infiltrated the military with a huge number of islamists, the military psychologists were replaced by imams and all the higher ranking military officials are of the same kind of Erdogan. He is so much smarter than Erbakan in those days. He knew how to change the country and he knew it would be clever to make it in the most subtile way possible.
