This took place almost 3 years to the day...  I wonder if any progress has been made in closing the gap?  Hopefully Bush set something in motion because Obama, the post-American president, would have no qualms with the US no longer having a qualitative military edge over the rest of the world.

I'm more concerned about the practise of exchanging Chinese products for US t-bills, it's destabilizing the worlds economy.
