I don't know if this belongs here or in the affirmative action section.

Foreign Ministry Celebrates Africa Day

(IsraelNN.com) The Foreign Ministry Tuesday celebrated Africa Day and noted the 50th year since Ghana became the first African nation to recognize Israel.

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni welcomed Sampson K. Boafo, Minister of Chieftaincy and Culture of Ghana. She noted that several African delegations "participated in the Jerusalem Day program at the Knesset--not for political reasons but rather for spiritual ones. They simply knew that they were honoring a city which is beloved and cherished by the peoples they represent."
