Ask JTF for Sunday, March 20, 2011
« on: March 12, 2011, 07:33:43 PM »
Dear Chaim, just three simple questions for this week's Ask JTF.

1. What is your opinion on the Muslim country, the Maldives?

2. Should Muslims live in non-Muslim countries? Especially in Western countries such as Canada, America and Europe?

3. Please expose the disgusting porn star, Ron Jeremy, yimach schmo vezichro.

Shalom Chaim

I have found myself being more proud and more vocal about our movement's views especially when responding to peoples' comments in facebook. I just want to say to our forum members who have a facebook/twitter account to get out of their closets and stand proud to stand up for the right things. Those without a facebook account, create one. If the arab muslim nazis can do it to overthrow their governments and encourage third intifadas (Gd forbid to us and may it only happen on them and worse-amen), it's time for us to do it for israel. We have to be impassioned, but smart at how we respond to certain people who disagree with us. With outright nazis and muslim nazis we can go ape crazy on them. But for the misled people, a different leveled approach is needed.

The murders of righteous jewish families need to also stop and it's time to show jews that they need to defend themselves proudly.  Kahane might not be here, but that doesn't mean we should be in distress and expect the world to condemn these evil actions.

Now for my questions:

1. Every country has gone through some sort of natural disaster created by Hashem.  Have the Jews ever experienced the same? It seems when "nature" did something, it saved Jews (in Egypt).  However in the past 2000 years or so, it seems that the only disasters Jews have received are human induced and not "nature" or Gd induced.  Why is that?

2.  In regards to your answer about Japan, I hear what you are saying.  Generally speaking, the whole world is against Israel and are in some ways guilty for allowing the Shoah to happen (or even perpetrate it), as well as encouraging current day Israeli suicide.  I also agree that natural disasters are done on purpose by Gd no matter how random they may seem to the imperfect human mind and eyes.  The innocent and guilty suffer in these disasters also. However, we can't always say with certain accuracy why Gd caused a specific natural disaster at a specific place and time.  Japan, in my opinion, has the same evilness as Europe and the United States.  However, the quality of evil that exists in Muslim Nazi countries are much worse and more open, in my opinion.  Can you speculate why Gd didn't do a disaster like Japan (or even worse) to those countries?

3. If not nuclear power or oil for energy, what energy source would you push for to be most efficient, safe and practical? I know fusion would be nice, but we don't have that yet.

4. On a different subject, there was a Haredi Rabbi, whose name I won't mention, with a huge influence on a Persian community in Long Island who has also been very controversial.  I have read blogs about him from people who support his "zealotry" to stand up for Torah and Talmud causes, which I can admire because we are a movement that has uncompromising "zealotry" to stand up for Torah and Israel causes.  However, his "zealotry" which he and his supporters even admitted to doing, regarding "tapping the Torah on a person's door  who had mix dancing the night before the fast of Tevet" and cursing the women who weren't dressed very modestly with breast cancer took place.  In my opinion, such actions by a Haredi Rabbi gives religiosity a bad name to misguided Jews who are not quite as religious or even secular.  I know that you know of this story because I mentioned it to you in the past.  To what extent do you think a Rabbi has a right to do something like this especially at a private residence?

To make a long story short, another Kolel Rabbi in the same community lifted the curse off of these people.  I happen to know this Rabbi and he and his wife take the kind and loving approach in encouraging Jews to be more religious.  And again, I can respect Torah "zealotry" and "uncompromise". However, it has to stop somewhere.  What is your opinion on this?

5. And can you give us a dvar torah of this week's parsha.

Toda

Shalom Chaim and thank you as always for your hard work and for answering my questions.

Do you think that Obama has set a dangerous precedent by having the U.S. military attack Libya without Congressional authorization, but instead insisted on U.N. authorization? Do you believe that Libyan leader Col. Gaddafi will retaliate against the U.S. with a terrorist attack, just like he did in 1988 when Libyan agents blew up Pan Am Flight 103? Finally, should we be concerned that Samantha Power, an Obama advisor who was the one pushing for military action against Libya, got her way even when military generals and the Secretary of Defense opposed attacking Libya?

Shalom Chaim,

I got the message from Shlomo that you are cutting back on the mocking Action Stories and imitations and I asked Lisa to modify my second question to you last week to reflect that, but she evidently wasn't able to get to that. But I support your decision and will abide by your wishes.

1: Please share a positive story in which an evil black or Arab was redeemed and became righteous.

2: Are there any pre-modern Christian leaders who were kind to Jews in Europe or elsewhere?

3: Albanians have about eight times the number of children as regular, non-Muslim European women. At what point will they become the majority population of Europe?

4: Did you ever have the displeasure of meeting the sick self-hating Judenrat Joshua Rosenberg, yimach schmo vezichro?

G-d bless you,
TBF

Greeting Chaim

1. What do you think of Aish.com, the Jewish Yeshiva Website in Israel?

2. What you think of the Invasion of Panama in 1989? Do you think that the Dictator Manuel Noreiga deserved to be kicked out of power because he endangered American lives?

3. Haaretz had an article of Alexandar Cvetkovik, a Serb officer who married a Jewish Woman and they like all websites on this case, mention the Srebrenica incident he was accused of. How do you respond to the endless allegations of this event?

4. Switzerland made a vote to ban construction on Mosque Minarets with 24-4 in the Parliment in 2009 which bought up the Wimps in the ADL Condemning them. If the ADL were really focused on Jewish Issues, they would support the action because if More Muslims move to Switzerland, the Jewish Community there would be put in grave danger. Instead they whine: "NO you're promoting Anti-Muslim Bigotry it's offensive to the Religion of Peaacccee!"

5. I found a blog that called Bill Clinton a Racist just because of the American operation in Somalia In 1993 when 19 American Troops were killed and on the other side 800 "Great Scientists" were killed. I thought at first that it was a Black African blog but then I thought it maybe was run by wiggers or by very sick Leftists who can't stand a single American bullet fired against her enemies. Your take on this?

Shalom Chaim,

It's been a while. Did you miss me? I've been busy helping our people in Samaria.

Forgive any redundancy in my questions.

1) I know your #1 pick is Mike Huckabee (whose hand I shook when he visited Samaria). What do you think of Colonel Allen West and Marco Rubio, and would you be opposed to them as running mates with Huckabee?

2) What's your take on Libya? Am I wrong to believe we should mind our own business and just let all the Jew-haters kill one another? From the pieces I have managed to put together, it looks to me that the so-called rebels are backed by the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda, and other scumbags.

3) Megillah Esther is one of my favorite books. It is very deep and full of 'hidden' secrets. Do you have a few thoughts to share with us about this remarkable text?

Comment regarding Japan:
I lived in Japan for 18 years before making Aliyah. In all that time I never experienced a single anti-Semitic person or comment. I was the first Jewish person a Japanese ever met. They know little to nothing about the Jews, and most can’t even find Israel on the map. Truly. I found that most all believed that Jews were ‘very intelligent’, ‘hard-working’, ‘good at making money’ and ‘strong’.

The Japanese are very proud of Chiune Sugihara the Japanese diplomat who, during World War II served as Vice Consul for Japan in Lithuania, and risked his life to save that of thousands of Jews by issuing transit visas to Jewish refugees so that they could travel to Japan and escape the Holocaust.

I agree that the government and media is generally pro-Palestinian, and I deplore that. I think it’s because they are dependent on Arab countries for both oil and markets. I’m not excusing it, just mentioning it.

I, of course, disagreed profoundly with their government policies and bias media regarding Israel, but what was said or written did not even come close to the kind of vile, disgusting crap you find in Europe and America.

The Japanese people are some of the kindest, most generous people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing, and although ignorant about Judaism and Israel, they were not hateful in the least. Just thought you’d like to know.

Thanks and Chazak v'emahtz!

Shalom Chaim,

1. What is your opinion of the website Virtual Judah which advocates a violent struggle using Maoist and Marighella methods(not goals) to create a separate Jewish state in Yehuda and Shomron?

2. What is your opinion of Yaakov Amidror, the new National Security advisor in Israel? Amidror has referred to secular Israelis as Hebrew speaking Goyim and called for complete destruction of areas from which attacks come against Jews, do you think Amidror is honest or saying what other Daati want to hear?

The Serb-loving, Honorable Mr. Chaim ben Pesach:

I have a question that has occasionally crossed my mind.  Being Greek Orthodox, crosses and iconography of Jesus, the Apostles, and Mary abound throughout my apartment as well as my parents’ house. Does this present a problem for religious Jews, if they were to come over? None of the Jews that have been in my home are, as you say, “shome re Shabbat” (forgive my spelling), but would this present a problem for a religious Jew?

PS: As a short side question, does you mother call you by your Hebrew name or your English name? Given your legal name is your English name, I imagine your mother and father called you by that for sometime, no?

P, PS: "Cyprus [, which is a part of Greece,] is the first country to officially declare it will not cooperate with efforts by various anti-Israel movements and countries to send flotillas to violate Israel's blockade of Gaza. Peres thanked [President Demetris Christofias of Cyprus] for also being the first country to take concrete steps to prevent flotillas from leaving its ports.

Gd Bless!

Hi Chaim
Oh good your currently on the leviticus portion of the bible.
I am quite happy with kosher now that you've explained it. It is very unlike halal where the animal has to be conscious while its bleeding to death so it can listen to some imam wailing at it in arabic. Now about sacrifices, which I am also happy with by the way. I eat hamburgers so I don't want to be a hypocrite. There can be no shedding of blood without the remission of sins. Or is it the other way round. Anyhow, how do you guys cope on yom kippur as you have no high temple?

---------------

Secondly
My current operation is trying to convince one man of the moslem threat, codenamed project black dude. Not one of my more subtle codenames.
Anyway this guy has accused me of having tunnel vision. He says I should be more broad minded and look at the wonderful contributions muslims have made to the U.K He failed to name any specifics but said I would be amazed. As you have studied this situation in more detail I figured I'd ask.
Why don't you tell us some of the big "contributions" that moslems have made to europe and the americas. The breathtaking leaps in architecture, science and literature without which all civilisation would undoubtedly collapse.  :::D LMAO I'll be sure to pass on your answer verbatim.

P.S Have noticed strange high pitched sound in recent broadcasts. Please check equipment and software.

What is your opinion of Michael , I think he's wonderful, he's a pretty good speaker. And he's a real rightwinger or at least he seems to be one. Am I wrong?
2. Why doesn't Switzerland join the Nazi European Union? 3. who's that Alan Keyes, and why do you like him?
4. Have you ever visited Nashville, Tennessee? What can you say about it, and its population? Is there a Caucasian majority there?
Toda Raba, Chaim! and God bless you.

Dear Chaim,

1) If you were Prime Minister (IYH soon) how would you respond to the Fogel attack?

2) Pretend you went to pay a shiva call to the Fogel family. What would you say to Tamar Fogel? Have you already been in contact with them since the tragedy?

3) Please explain the difference between Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah, Taliban, and Al Qaeda? What other wonderful factions can you think of?

4) Which countries in the Middle East have made "peace" with Israel?

5)  What are your plans for Purim? Are you going to stuff yourself and get drunk?  ;D When is the last time you did either of those things?

Thanks, and a freilichin Purim to you and your loved ones and may Hashem help us and comfort the mourners. May this be the the Purim of the geulah.

"Kosher style" deli's. Some of them have been falsely claiming to be kosher and deceiving people to think that they are. Others have been more honest about not being kosher and appear to have no problem obtaining Jewish customers. Of course goyim can buy food there, but the bulk of the customers are non-practicing Jews.
I can understand if a Jew does not normally keep kosher, but makes a best effort every once in a while, but the non-kosher "kosher style" places completely go against any style of being kosher. In fact, many people who keep kosher will not eat kosher imitations of non-kosher food for this reason. What else can you say about this type of restaurant?
Does it bother you that you have to face the dome and the rock to say the sh'ma?

Last week you blamed the Japanese and Germans of today, for WW II. Why are you leaving the Italians off the hook? You might say "they didn't fight as vehemently for Mussolini."
But how can you blame a whole new generation of Japanese for their grandparents' actions on WWII?   (What about blaming modern day Italians for the Roman Empire?)

Dear Chaim,

You mentioned on last week's program that Irv Rubin, shortly after 9/11, defended a group of Muslims that wanted to place a mosque (or something) somewhere and the people there wanted to prevent it, something along those lines.    Was he doing this at the same time he was planning to blow up a mosque!?   I mean I understand if the guy was nuts, but that is really taking it to a whole new level.   It's mindboggling.

2.  The US has been trying desperately for decades to win over the sentiments of the arab world.  Isn't this the #1 reason obama is taking action against qaddafi?  Or is this some other kind of opportunism at play?

3.  We have seen in recent years that the world, particularly the united states, has used military operations to take out rogue leaders who are unwilling to 'play ball' in the international community - milosevic, taliban, Saddam, now qaddafi.  Others are not touched (kim jong Il etc).  The common thread is middle east and sucking up to arabs. Do you think its possible that when you take power in Israel, since you will be a rogue leader who defies the whole world, that maybe the US President might launch a military operation against Israel?

Shalom Chaim,

The following is long,   hence by all means feel free to read parts of it silently.

The other night following a lecture by a Liberal Professor at a Reformed Temple,   I got into a heated exchange with the so called Rabbi.     For at least the time being,   it's best that I don't mention the name of the Reformed Temple or any of the people involved in what took place that night.     It's possible that you might be aware of what took place.

Basically,  after the lecture was over,   the so called Rabbi and members of the Temple staff told me to stop giving out information that listed Obama's extensive Anti-Israel record.    The information was written as a response to the Liberal Professor's name appearing on many websites as someone who urged people to vote for Obama in 2008.

The so called Rabbi told me that he supports Obama,     that the  "Palestinians " are legitimate,   he's in favor of a so called two state solution,   and that he in essence thought I was off the wall for saying that Bibi Netanyahu was a phony ' Right Winger'.

Since that evening,   I did research on this so called Rabbi.     His record is very disturbing.     Yet,  what topped everything was the following that he wrote:

"Demolishing homes in East Jerusalem, rendering
whole Arab families including children homeless in order to expand ultra‐Orthodox settlements
is just plain wrong. That we Jews, who throughout our history have so often been the victims of
this kind of government treachery, would do this is a stain on our identity.  As is the continued
expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank, confiscating land and water from Arab
villages.  Lord knows sometimes the decisions of Israel’s political leaders actually make our
politics seem mature and thoughtful‐‐‐‐if that’s possible".

I also noticed that this so called Rabbi is on the Masada2000   Self Hating Israel -Threatening Jews list.

My question is as follows.    Because of the actions of this so called Rabbi against a Jewish member of the audience,   legal action might be necessary.      Would legal action and testifying in court  be allowed under Jewish law involving someone like this so called Rabbi?         I know that you have discussed the seriousness of informing.     Yet,  being that this so called Rabbi is influencing many people in a horrible way,       my guess is that this so called Rabbi has cut himself off from the Jewish people.

Thanks as always,   eb22.

Shalom Chaim,

I know that I (and I assume most of us) would prefer to look at those who disagree with us as decent people who are not yet convinced, rather than enemies.  However, clearly some people are hardened  enemies.  Clearly Obama, Helen Thomas, Farrakham, Sharpton, Achmedinejad(sp?) Nazis are pure evil.  Jews such as those of the ISM like Adam Shapiro have chosen pure evil over good.  But other cases are not as clear.  You may not agree but, I am convinced that Sarah Palin is a well meaning person.  I know we were all disappointed that in the debate, she said she favored the two state solution.  However, she has spoken against the building freeze, saying Israel needs buildiing for an influx of Jews (we all hope that turns out to be correct) which is probably more strongly pro Israel than the last six Israeli governments.

In any case, my question is, where is the dividing line between evil and potential good that has not yet been realized or those who are more good than evil even if you, or most of us, (of course even among ourselves we don't agree 100%) don't fully agree with them.  Are there specific red lines?  Obviously someone who does not favor the right of Jews to defend themselves against aggressors and live in sovereignty in the Land of Israel is beyond the pale.  What are your red lines?
We all need to pray for Barack Obama, may the Lord provide him a safe move back to Chicago in January 2,013.

Shalom Chaim,

How should Israel respond in case a Palestinian state is declared unilaterally with American and UN recognition of the state itself as well as backing its claim for the entire Yesh"a territories ? What is the response you expect the Israeli regime will take ?

Shalom Chaim

Here are the zootube questions.

P.S. This is from our friend the self hating Jew (getting tired of them yet?) I know I am.

From: oc00011

Question 1
Regarding African language, yes apart from nsibidi (which is anything but "minor" by the way, you could write a book on it). There are many other examples e.g. adinkra, akan, mende/kikakui, shumom, vai etc.. To note, this is all in spite of the effects of colonialism i.e. Europeans attempts of wiping out black history, culture, language, religion etc., of which they succeeded to an extent. I'm surprised you’re ignorant to all of this, such a shame. Its even more shameful that you seem to think blacks are uncivilized & intellectually inferior. Go to any 'Western World' top-class university & you'll find countless blacks doing bachelor degrees, masters, doctorates etc.

Question 2
"To judge Jews based on the deeds of some of their ancestors is an anti-Qur'anic idea." [Abbas p.178-179]. Qur'an 2:256 - preaches tolerance towards Jews & others. The famous Islamic theologian al-Ghazali praised the piety of Jews, and described them as "steadfast in faith" [Abu Abd el-Rahman, Description de k'Afrique septentrionale d'El-Bekri, 1859, p.158]. "The Ottomans were more tolerant of Jews and promoted their economic development. The Jews flourished as great merchants, financiers, government officials, traders and artisans." [Schweitzer, Perry. Anti-Semitism: myth and hate from antiquity to the present, 2002, p.266-7]

Question 3
In response to your claim that if Egypt wanted to help Israel, the Hamas tunnels wouldn't have existed, your so wrong. Does Israel support Hamas because they often fail to locate the tunnels in time? No of course not! The Cairo anti-war conference in 2009, which was going to criticize the Egyptian government's lack of action *against* Israel, **was banned** by the Egyptian government. It’s well known that Egypt has been generally supportive of Israel.

Question 4
Finally, I'd like to add that you're claim of 'sons of Israel' being Muslim according to the Qur'an is false. Islam defines the Jews as 'sons of Israel' - this is backed up at Lichtblau, Eric, '4 in Florida Are Cleared on Many Terrorism Charges', New York Times, 06/12/05. Islamic scholar Tariq Ramadan said "In the name of their faith and conscience, Muslims must take a clear position so that a pernicious atmosphere does not take hold in the Western countries. Nothing in Islam can legitimize xenophobia or the rejection of a human being due to his/her religious creed or ethnicity. One must say unequivocally, with force, that anti-Semitism is unacceptable and indefensible" [UN Chronicle; Haaretz]

G-d Bless you, your loved ones and Israel. My prayers for the Itamar Hero's and may G-d avenge their blood.
The banding together by the nations of the world against Israel is the guarantee that their time of destruction is near and the final redemption of the Jew at hand.

Shalom Chaim,
I very strongly disagree with your assertion that Japanese are nazis and deserved the earthquake and tsunamis. I have Japanese friends and colleagues and it is very difficult for me to hear such a slander - you don't know Japanese people. They are some of the most wonderful, honest and hardworking people in the world. Your claim that Japan helps "palestinian" and that this, somehow, makes Japane responsible for the latest calamity is ill-founded and ill-timed. By this token, if we were to measure the evilness of the people by their government's help to "palestinians", no other country deserves a calamity as Israel, for no other government is responsible for the "palestinian" resurgence and no other government helps "palestinians" as much as the Israeli government. A lot of Japanese have a fascination with Jews or very ignorant of Jews, in WWII Japanese protected Jews under their control, even though they were under a tremendous German pressure to murder their Jews.

I could only wish that Jews were a bit more like Japanese - self-confident, polite, self-respecting, patriotic and honorable. Do you think, for one minute, that Japanese would tolerate the type of nonsense from an alien population that Jews do in Israel?! Look, Israel behaves as a ghetto-minded coward, a puppet without a self-respect. How do you expect other people, particularly Japanese, who are totally dependent for their resources on OPEC, support, respect or admire a country that behaves as exact opposite to the traditional Japanese values? Do you know that Japan still have not signed a peace agreement with Russia (USSR) because of a dispute over the 4 unpopulated Kuril islands which are of absolutely no significance to either country.

As much as I respect and love you, and support JTF goals in Israel, I have to say, regrettably, that I believe that your statement was ill-timed, in bad taste and unfair. I think, if our movement had a higher profile, this type of statements would really hurt us, in Israel and outside. These statements will be used against us, G-d willing we obtain the desired prominence. I do applaud your decision to stop the highly entertaining but controversial "affirmative action" stories, and I would ask you to weigh your words more carefully in the future, particularly on the subject that you may know little about.

My position is a position of principal and loyalty to JTF and my Japanese friends but since I was really offended by your statement, please let me know if you think that I can or should remain in JTF. Regardless of your decision, I will still have a lot of admiration for you, this movement and our goals, I just hope you would withdraw or rethink your statement.
