Ask JTF for Sunday, October 23, 2011
« on: October 15, 2011, 07:24:10 PM »
Dear Chaim, two questions for this week's Ask JTF.

1. Exactly how many pro-Israel people live in the Muslim world?

2. Can you please expose the good and bad aspects of Facebook? I know Facebook does help our movement grow stronger but it can be abused, like for example for my ex-girlfriend, Brittney said some horrible things to some of my friends, does this make her an evil person?

PS: Please wish my childhood friend, Kimberly Knous a happy birthday. She turns 30 today.

שלום חיים

what are your thoughts on jdate?

on mitt rino: i sort of understand why evangelicals would have some aversion to him due to mormonism, but what is the problem with it from a jewish perspective? both christianity and mormonism attach something new to the tanach, so why should it be a criteria (for us)? I know a few mormons and a few evangelicals, both groups seem to be supportive of Israel. in the case of romney, i don't like him for his abyssmal record, but if a mormon candidate with a record akin to huckabee's showed up, hed have my support in a second.

if a candidate promised to actually pressure israel into starting over 9000 construction projects in yosh, would you support such a candidate for potus?

what are your thoughts on chechnya? do you think muslim nazi iran would betray moscow in order to "liberate" its muslim nazi chechen brothers (using nuclear bombs, G-d forbid)?

how many of the people in hayamin are from that dense leftist area in and around north tel aviv?

why do the failures joshua rosenberg (from australia),ben mizrachi, and steve weigang all have a parrot as a back ground pick for their zootube accounts? are they trying to make it obvious it's them?

who is Johnson brown (mentioned with a YSV in a member's name)?

Shalom Chaim

First a commentary for the week:

Ever since Obama became president, socialism became legitimate to many people because they agreed with the idea of helping the less fortunate especially in these tough times.   And certainly, ideas to take from the rich, whether hard working or plain lucky, and to give to the poor and/or the lazy have gained either more sympathy or acceptance from non rich folk (as long as they aren't the ones harmed by these higher taxes).

Any decent person, rich or poor, will understand the need to help the less fortunate and unlucky.  Certainly, some of the wealthier people out there have so much money and things and waste it away on stuff that we, ourselves, could never understand their uses.  For example, one fellow might own three homes and two yachts, while another collect 4 Lamborguinis and own a home that has 15 bedrooms, but with only one person living in it 1/3rd of the year.

To each their own, right?  They worked hard for it. Who are we to say how they should spend it? Gd willing, if I had all that money, I would prefer to use it to change the world for the better as well as live comfortably enough. But that's just me.

So is it fair for any super wealthy person to be FORCED to give his "hard earned" money to other people?  How about if we force obese and overweight heathens, like Al Sharpton and company, to share the wealth of their food to feed those who are starving?  At least the food will go to good use and help people with at least one basic need.

The point I want to make is that there is a reason why in Judaism we thank Gd for everything from the moment we wake up, right after we use the restroom, before we eat and AFTER we eat, and before we sleep as well as a million other things.  It isn't just to thank Gd for what we have, but to remind us of what some other people might not have.  And if Gd gives to one of us what is essential, shouldn't we volunteer to give what is essential to someone who might not have it?  Maybe even help those who need a little help to also give to others in the future?
The heroic settlers in Yehuda, Shomron and the hilltops have sacrificed a lot of the basic needs we all have.  They are protecting Israel and even the rest of the world.  I think, these are the people to whom we should share some of our wealth.

And my questions for the week:

1. What holidays and mitzvot will we no longer have to follow once the Moshiach arrives?
2. How warm of a place is Qaddafi ysv?
3.  I saw the Vegas debate and think Romney did the best job defending himself. Can you comment whether at this point we should or shouldn't support him since he will most likely do the best job of holding his ground against a biased moderator once he meets Obama in a future debate.  The rest if the candidates disappointed me.  Hermann Cain was so so and newt Gingrich was funny and snappy.
4. Tell us about a mission Rabbi Kahane gave you?

5. And a Dvar Torah of this week's Torah portion and Haftorah portion.

Toda,

Dr. Dan

Dear Chaim,

Here are 9-11 Avenger/YimachShemoToJohnsonBrown's questions for this week:

"Shalom dearest Chaim,

1: In ancient times, Teutonic peoples (the Hun/Ostrogoth/Visigoth/Vandal) tribes played the role of the noble Serbs today. They were the only peoples of Europe that offered sustained, heroic resistance to the Roman Nazi Empire, destroying several legions of Roman Nazi SS soldiers in the forests of northern Europe. Today, the roles are reversed and Germanic people are all Nazis and by and large, Italians are benign people. When did this shift happen?

2: Can Germany's anti-nazification laws be used against SStephanie Weifag (yimach shema)? Can we turn her in to the authorities of the modern-day Reich for her Nazi internet activities?

3: What is your opinion of pro-purity author Wendy Shalit? Is this a righteous Jew or a self-hating one?

4: Please talk about marijuana advocate Ed Rosenthal, the so-called "guru of ganja". He has a Jewish name but I don't know if he really is.

5: If BHO (ysv) is reelected, do you think that he and his bro Van Jones will begin to accuse Israel of being behind 9/11?

You are a gentleman, a scholar, and a brother. G-d bless you and your family.

Greetings Chaim. I'm not sure who to support for the Republican nomination but the sad fact of the matter is it really doesn't matter who I support. By the time the vote gets to Texas, the nominee will already be decided and my vote won't matter. That's what happened last time. By the time the vote got here, McCain was the only one who had a real chance of winning the nomination with Huckabee a distant second.

I had to go to the democrat side just to try to vote against Obama, but he was already the clear frontrunner there too. I think this is one way of discriminating against 'red states' and making the Republican field weaker or more liberal.

Do you think it should be illegal for candidates to drop out of the race before every state gets a chance to vote, or do you think that all states should have their primaries within a few days of each other? Either one would help a bit with this situation.

Hello Chaim.
Are not these riots and protests the most delicious thing? A spreading battlecry across the world that We are damn well fed up of them and their filthy manipulations and abuse. Even the lolcats have joined in.

There is a great keening wail resounding across the globe. One can only hope it is the death rattle of authority and the attempt to impose the new world order.

Having said that these people should spend less time chanting slogans at banks and more time setting up a barter exchange system. THAT would make the bean counters brown their trousers much more than any number of people waving placards.

-------
Speaking of protests how is Tag Machir faring?

-----------
Heres my two cents on Herman Cain. Obviously not a perfect candidate, none of them are. I'd just love to see Obama trying to play the race card with another black candidate.
Cain unleashes a barrage of criticism against Obama.
Obama says - you bein all racist gainst me cos of ma colour.
Cain says - what choo been smokin [censored]? I'm blacker than you.
I am having very naughty fun here but you get my point.

My only fear is that mainstream america will associate the dismal failures of the obama administration with his skin colour and not with his muslimness. They may avoid Cain as a result. JTF needs to get the message out even stronger and back Herman to show that skin color is a non issue for election. Or it should be anyway.
----------------
I do not understand this whole numerology/gematria thing. All this boiling down words into numbers seems a strange exercise. I converted my screen name britishsword using jewish gematria and its numerical equivalent is 1422. Other equivalents of the same number were Nuclear Warfare and president obama lovers ??? What is this? Why do letters have numbers attached to them? What does it all mean?

-------------------
I'm confused by it but as a point of interest I decided to convert the presidents full name barrack hussein obama. 703
The equivalents are

the church of satan
Ahmedinajad
The antichrist Islam
scales of the qlipoth
Madonna, is sent to hell
President Sarah Palin

Seems ominous. I wonder what Madonna did?
Good wishes BS

Shalom Chaim,
-Should marijuana and drugs in general be illegal? If yes then would you say that unhealthy foods (donuts, cakes, candy, soda, hotdogs, etc.) should be illegal as well? Is their a difference and if not then where does it end (comment on cigars and cigarettes as well) ?

Shalom Chaim. First I want to say how much I admire your dedication and sacrifice for your people and God. There are not many people like you today.
My first question ever in "ask JTF" concerns the death penalty. I know Torah allows and demands the death penalty for certain crimes, but I also know there has to be witnesses, and they have to be trustworthy people. What happens when we know someone is guilty based on evidences but there are no witnesses? For example, I know about the case in America of Casey Anthony who is clearly guilty, but no one actually saw the crime. What do we do in such situations?

The exchange of 1000 animals for one captured soldier left me physically sick - you know, this gut wrenching sickness. And the saddest thing of all was not even this insane "deal" but the fact that these quaranimals were still walking on this Earth after atrocities they've committed!

- Abdel Aziz Salha - tortured and lynched two Israeli soldiers in Ramallah
- Nasser Yateima - responsible for a 2002 hotel bombing that killed 30 people celebrating Passover
- Awana Jawad Mona - seduced a 16-year-old Israeli boy, Ofir Rahum, to come meet her. Ofir was tortured and killed.

and there are 1000 beasts like this.
Tell me Chaim, in Kahanist Israel, shouldn't people responsible for this criminal act be persecuted for treason?

שלום חיים
מועדים לשמחה

As you well know one of the issues which Rabbi Kahane concerned himself with was Jewish self defense.  Rabbi Kahane felt that every Jew should have access to firearms and training to keep themselves, the families, and their fellow Jews safe.  One of the problems I see in Israeli society is the lack of a inalienable right for Jews in Israel to bare arms.  Given the history of Israel and the Arab-Nazi wars against the Jews this seems like pure insanity to me.  How is it that the norm became Jews having to beg for gun permits from the government?  If I make Aliyah, one of the things that truly concerns me is that I would have to wait three years before I would even be allowed to apply for a gun permit.  When the nation of Israel came out of Mitzrayim we came out armed and ready for war.  Hashem repeatedly commands us to arm ourselves against our enemies.  As a people we have a Torah imperative to do so in order to safeguard our lives.  Would you please share your thoughts on this and how you think this situation in Israel might be remedied?  I see this as one of the big issues that keeps Israeli society from progressing.  Jews should not be jailed for defending themselves against the Arab-Nazi enemy.

Shalom Chaim,

1) Can you explain what deism is?  What do you think of it? I have read that Thomas Jefferson believed in it as did some of the other founding fathers.
2) Are you getting much reaction to your videos on the subject of the murderer exchange in israel?  If there was ever an issue that was right for us that is it.  A policy of the death penalty for any terrorist who kills a Jew, or tries to, combined with a no negotiations with terrorists, and a zero tolerance of harboring of terrorists should resonate with much of Israel.
3) What do you think of programs in which Jews surrepticiously buy land from Arabs, both in Judea and Samaria and within the green line.
4) Another example, if you would, of JTF helping the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria.

Shalom Chaim,

I hope your Chag was joyous as mine was...

Here are my three questions of the week:

1) I know you have little respect for many of todays Rabbis but do you have any special respect for any Rabbis you would consider modern Gedolim? If so please tell us who you consider the great Rabbis of this generation to be.

2) Do you think outreach to Jews is important? I do believe it is important to try to bring Jews who have wandered from Jewish faith and belief back. This last Shabbat I spent time with the Rabbi I credit for bringing me back whom I have not seen in about four years. It made me wonder what your opinion on this topic is...

3) This last Shabbat we read Bereshit. What is your teaching concerning the sin of the tree of knowledge? I have heard many explanations but I am interested in your interpretation. As a follow up could you also explain what we learn from the story of Cain and Abel? What is meant by 'Am I my brothers keeper'?

Thank you,
Michael

Shalom Chaim and thank you as always for your hard work and for answering my questions.

The reason on last week's show I questioned the alleged Iranian plot to kill the Saudi Ambassador on U.S. soil is because of all the lies the U.S. government has told us. How are you able to tell when the U.S. government is telling the truth and lying? How did you know that the U.S. government was lying about Iraq having Weapons of Mass Destruction?

Shalom Chaim

I just signed up for this forum. It's interesting. I am always happy to share my opinion with everyone.

Before answering the questions, take a look at 'Save Serbia' section. Why are there people on this forum who are definetly mourning the death of mouamar qaddafi ys'v? Maybe I'm wrong, but how was he any different from other muslim nazi dictators?

Now, I have several questions to ask:

1. Why was JDL so anti-Cinfederate? From what I've been researching, various JDL leaders had a history of challenging and combatting the Confederate flag. As the examples I seem to remember is when Irv Rubin burned both Swastika and Rebel flag in Rhino, California. Josh Geyer, JDL Missouri chapter chairman, referred to the Confederate flag as "American swastika" on some talk show. Recently, JDL Florida announced to lead a campaign against the Confederate flag all around the country. There were many Jews who fought for the CSA during the American Civil War, so basically I don't see any problems waving it. Was JDL always like this, or you had different attitudes toward the flag? What was Kahane's personal view on CSA?

2. What was your reaction to the riots in Cronulla in 2005? Were you excited when those lebs got chased down by a large crowd of Aussies?

3. What is your opinion on Ezra Levant, Salim Mansur, and Michael Coren? Mansur claims to be pro-Israel despite being a muslim. Michael Coren is a Jew convert to Christianity.

4. What was your reaction to Greensboro massacre in 1979? Also, what is your insight on Ruby Ridge confrontation in the early 1990s? Do you think that guy Randy Weaver got what he deserved?

5. What is your opinion on South Park? Did you ever watch it?

Thanks and G-d bless you and your loved ones.

Can you expose Pat Buchanan for the Jew hater that he is ?

Is he so deep in the closet that supposedly pro Jewish right wing media savvy VIPs like Glenn Beck, who gave him a warm reception and promotion for his latest book on his show on 20/10/2011, can honestly say they hadn't realized he was a Jew hater and a Nazi sympathizer ?

Greece hates Israel and 32% of the greek population hates USA. Greece allready has good relationships with Russians, also the russians did not attack greece during Cold War (greece was "allied" to USA and UK) but still the russians left with gifts, supplies and food from the greek people of the local villages. If you say that's crap; then ask my grandma he is russian and she said that all of he friends loved greece, so did my mother when she came here. Still unconvinient?

From: aigg
I think it's very sad that it is almost impossible to criticize the actions of the state of Israel, without being called an anti-semit. I think we must be able to separate the actions of the state and government, and the entire Jewish population. I am sure many jews do not agree with the actions of the state of Israel, and would not say that Israel equals jew. I have NOTHING against the jewish people. I do, however, disagree with many of Israel's actions. That does not make me an anti-semit.
