Classic Early 80s Comedy : SCTV
« on: December 03, 2012, 10:13:37 PM »
Here is a classic skit from the famouse Second City comedy team. In the mid 70s to mid 80s they were the funniest thing on the 13 Channels which were broadcast. This show was on late at night (1AM) but it was 10X funnier than Saturday Night Live could ever be.

For those of us who remember Television in the 80s, here is a parody of the TV show 'Fantasy Island'.

SCTV made several comedians famous. These include John Candy, Eugene Levy, Martin Short,  Rick Moranis, Dave Thomas, Andrea Martin & Catherine O'Hara...

You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities

Oh I remember them!

They had this hilarious spoof of a Ronald Reagan/Jimmy Carter debate taking place in a mens room.
