Are paisas from colombia of Jewish descent?

I've been reading about the paisa people in colombia who are from Medellin and I have heard rumors that they are the descendants of crypto jews and Sephardim. Some people stereotypically refer to paisas as being very good with businesses and they do tend to look like they come from a completely different population set, what do you guys think?
