How did they get to Israel in the first place? The Philippines are on the other side of the planet.

They come in as foreign workers usually as caretakers for elderly &  disabled & then over stay their visas.
Many times they marry older Israelis so they can get their pensions & get citizenship.
Why they come here & not somewhere closer is beyond me.

Maybe some of them are missionaries. I know that South Korea sends missionaries around the world. They approached me twice in Croatia. Of course, they missionized the wrong guy. I began teaching them the 7 commandments.
