New article defends Chaim ben Pesach

A Jew locked out of Israel

I am personally of the view that Jews should be in their homeland, the holy land of Israel. I believe the Jewish Bible teaches that Jews continuing to live outside of Israel brings disgrace to God’s name. That land is their heritage.

Then I hear of the government of the state of Israel preventing a Jew from going home to Israel. If that government was Torah observant, making the Torah (not just parts of it) the law of the land, working feverishly to get the Temple raised and the people ready, if the government was like that, then I’d think such a position to be crazy, to stop a Jew coming home.

But there’s nothing that gives me any faith that the government of the state of Israel is a righteous one. And this blocking only adds to the evidence for not holding that government to any esteem at all.
