Pretty much he was and he also never tried to shove himself into mediating agreements between Israel and her Islamist enemies.

  Though it is hard to tell what is
  really in the hearts of people, I
  can believe that he was genuine
  in his support of Israel probably like
  Sheikh Palazzi as it appears that at
  least some of modern Italy is.
