Michael Reagan: My Dad Would Have Condemned White Nationalists

President Ronald Reagan would have had a dramatically different response to the horrific violence by white supremacists in Charlottesville than President Donald Trump did, his son Michael Reagan told Newsmax TVon Wednesday.

“Absolutely it would’ve differed from President Trump’s response,” Reagan, a veteran political commentator, told host Miranda Khan on “America Talks Live.” “. . . My father would be appalled by the white nationalists.

“He would’ve said the same thing today he would’ve said back then. He would not have fixed blame all over the building. That would’ve been for another day, another time. He would’ve said exactly what needed to be said against the white nationalists, against the KKK.

“And he would’ve been absolutely appalled that a David Duke would stand up and pretend to speak on his behalf.”
