How were they able to determine the exact date of invention for each-and-every one of these items?

JTF is not racist and there are good blacks who have invented things, but they are not typically known for inventions. While they may have invented some of these items on this list, I have a few which I can immediately question.

The air conditioner was invented by Willis Haviland Carrier. He does not appear black to me.
http://inventors.about.com/library/weekly/aa081797.htm

The guitar evolved from ancient stringed instruments which were popular for thousands of years and were popular during biblical times. The following source has a picture of a guitar from 1832 (54 years before the 1886) http://www.guyguitars.com/eng/handbook/BriefHistory.html.

Here is a source for locks. They have been around for a long time: http://www.locks.ru/germ/informat/schlagehistory.htm

I'll leave the others for anyone to research if they choose.

what the world would be like without African-American inventions. [They were barefoot because Jan E. Madeline invented the shoe lasting machine, uncombed because Walter Sammons invented the hair comb, wrinkled because Sarah Boone invented the ironing board and George T. Samon invented the clothes dryer]

So, that got me to thinking….what would the world be like without African-American inventions? Let me share with you a humorous list that has been circulating along the Internet for a few years now. I have no idea who started it, or who compiled it. But, here it is for your enjoyment.

Well, for starters, you can forget your penthouse view, because without Alexander Mils' elevator, buildings wouldn't be very tall. The roads would be less crowded because Richard Spikes invented the automatic gearshift, Joseph Gambol invented the super charge system for internal combustion engines. Talk about traffic jams! Imagine the number of accidents without Garrett A. Morgan's traffic signal.

Forget a Sunday ride on the Canal Street Car Line or the world-famous San Francisco cable cars – remember, the electric trolley was the creation of Albert R. Robinson.  And imagine how long it would take to clean up after Mardi Gras without Charles Brooks' street sweeper!

Writing would be a challenge without John Love's pencil sharpener, William Purvey's fountain pen, and Lee Barrage's typewriter. How would we print our magazine without W. A. Love's advanced printing press? Even if Americans could write letters, articles and books, they would have to hand-deliver them because William Barry invented the postmarking and canceling machine, William Purveys invented the hand stamp, and Philip Downing invented the letter drop.

But, you couldn't read after dark anyway, because your home would be really dim without Lewis Lattimer's electric lamp, Michael Harvey's lantern. Once on, how would you turn your lamp off without Granville T. Woods' automatic on/off switch? The advantage to the darkness is that you wouldn't be able to see the dirty floors. You see, Thomas W. Steward invented the mop and Lloyd P. Ray invented the dust pan.

Forget the beautifully manicured golf course greens. They'd be brown, overgrown and wilted without Joseph Smith's sprinkler system and John Burr's lawn mower.

Summers in New Orleans would be unbearable without Fredrick Jones' air conditioner, and who could survive winter in Boston without Alice Parker's heating furnace?

Finally, forget all our famous southern dishes. They'd all spoil without the refrigerator, which was invented by John Standard.

I challenge all history teachers to follow the lead of the Parkers and have their students live one day without the inventions of Black Americans.  To help you get started, click the link below for a [partial] listing of African-American inventions.

What would the world be like without black inventors?  There are next to no black inventions so the world would be exactly the same.  Maybe the blacks actually invented 10 things on that list.  I know that the oiling mechanism and the light bulb were debunked and invented by white people at earlier times as well.  Anyways, you are clearly a troll maryjoe, simply copying and pasting nonsense.

By Mary Bellis
Frederick McKinley Jones was one of the most prolific Black inventors ever. Frederick Jones patented more than sixty inventions, however, he is best known for inventing an automatic refrigeration system for long-haul trucks in 1935 (a roof-mounted cooling device). Jones was the first person to invent a practical, mechanical refrigeration system for trucks and railroad cars, which eliminated the risk of food spoilage during long-distance shipping trips. The system was, in turn, adapted to a variety of other common carriers, including ships. Frederick Jones was issued the patent on July 12, 1940 (#2,303,857).

Frederick Jones also invented a self-starting gas engine and a series of devices for movie projectors: adapting silent movie projectors for talking films, and developing box office equipment that delivered tickets and gave change.

Frederick Jones was born in in Covington, Kentucky near Cincinnati, Ohio on on May 17, 1893. He was a trained mechanic, a skill he learned doing military service in France during World War. His mastery of electronic devices was largely self-taught, through work experience and the inventing process.

Frederick McKinley Jones was granted more than 40 patents in the field of refrigeration. Frederick Jones' inspiration for the refrigeration unit was a conversation with a truck driver who had lost a shipment of chickens because the trip took too long and the truck's storage compartment overheated. Frederick Jones also developed an air-conditioning unit for military field hospitals and a refrigerator for military field kitchens. Frederick Jones received over 60 patents during his lifetime.

Because you are spamming.  Consecutively copying and pasting large amount of material from web sites is considered spamming.  On a forum we discuss things, we don't allow replying by simply pasting the same nonsense from the web.  If you would have only pasted once in this thread and replied to the posters with your own words then you would not be banned.

Stethoscope Imhotep Ancient Egypt .......Egyptians were black....oh  yea, that's right, the romans were negroes, the greeks were negroes, the chinese were negros and also Gengis  Khan

Or as Chaim put it "Everybody was black. Moses was black. Pharaoh was black. Caesar was black. Everybody was black. Black, black, black.".

I wrote on my homepage that Ethiopian Jews were white but overtime their skin evolved to black from the African Sunlight and some black sent me an Ebonics E-mail saying that I'm just trying to say Jesus was white and not black. I wasn't even talking about Jesus and this affirmative action moron claims that even Jesus was black.

These  retards are mistaking skin color with race..Just because someone has dark skin doesn't mean he's a negro. My Uncle has dark skin and he's southern Italian. And just because a country is on the same continent with another country, doesn't mean the people are the same.  Look  at Arabia. It's on the same continent as CHina (asia) and these are two distinct people /races....chinese and arabs.
Egypt and south central Africa have 2 duistinct peoples. There not all the same in Africa. North Africa is Caucasion..Or at least was in amcient history..Look at the  egyptian sculptures and paintings for  GOODNESS SAKE!!!

if you are not racist why does this bother you?
Because you are spamming.  Consecutively copying and pasting large amount of material from web sites is considered spamming.  On a forum we discuss things, we don't allow replying by simply pasting the same nonsense from the web.
cut the bull you are upset because something good is being said about black people. the coping and pasting is ment to show proof.

Say all you want about black people, just don't spam.  If you must copy and past something, don't post the entire page including half a page of links, just paste the relevant paragraphs.  You have not answered the fact that the guy's invention was not his invention at all.

Most of those "inventions" were adaptations on previous inventions, untrue, or incredibly misleading.  You can tell an affirmative action person compiled that list.
"The Jews will eventually have to face up to what you're dealing with here.  The arabs will never love you for what good you've brought them.  They don't know how to really love.  But hate!  Oh, G-d, can they hate!  And they have a deep, deep, deep resentment because you have jolted them from their delusions of grandeur and shown them for what they are-a decadent, savage people controlled by a religion that has stripped them of all human ambition . . . except for the few cruel enough and arrogant enough to command them as one commands a mob of sheep.  You are dealing with a mad society and you'd better learn how to control it."
