How difficult is it to get a concealed-carry permit where you live?

In New York, it's practically impossible, from what I've heard.

In NYS it not that hard. In NYC it's nearly impossible. One of the only armed civilians here, Ron Kuby, is a big liberal, and he defended Rabbi Kahane's murderer.

The list of people with CC permits in NYC is available through Freedom of Information. I'm told that the list is a who's who of high powered, well-connected liberals. NEVER ordinary citizens.
