Much of the secret of Kahane’s amazing political success has been his ability to raise money from wealthy Jews in America. Amnon Rubinstein, who resigned as Israeli minister of communications last May, estimates that Kahane brings into Israel about $500,000 a year

So that's something I've never completely understood...at one point, Rabbi Kahane was raising a lot of money.  When he died...suddenly no one gave money to Kahanist causes any more!?!?  I would expect the flow to drop because of the loss of a leader with Kahane's charisma, but why did "wealthy Jews" stop giving and supporting the Kahanist cause in America?

Because people don't just send money, they need to be roused. there were no more charismatic speeches and fundraisers. never underestimate the power of speech and oratory.
