A group of 70 olim from the former Soviet Union launched on Friday an ad campaign against Avigdor Lieberman, accusing him of neglecting his values in order to hold on to his cabinet seat.

 

This is not the first time this group has publicly attacked Lieberman; a similar campaign has been running in Russian newspapers and internet sites.


 




Campaign: "No security! No Jerusalem! No ministry!"

 

When the internet campaign was launched, Yisrael Beitenu, Lieberman's political party, turned to the police and demanded an investigation of the people running the campaign. Party officials refused to comment on the translation of the campaign into Hebrew.


 

According to sources in the Russian community, only a handful of the 70 organizers are well known in the community; some are associated with extreme-right organizations and some are Likud members, the sources said.

Anti-Lieberman posters appeared over the weekend in 17 central locations of the Russian-speaking community and a source familiar with the campaign said more would be hung in various locations throughout the country.

 

The campaign's organizers also sent Lieberman a petition calling on him to resign from the government.

Great Post Mord!  No doubt Lieberman is a traitor.  It's sickening that he is using the government to go after his detractors.  But I'm not surprised!
