Let me fix you some things:
לו=לא
לו means "to him"
לא means "no", "not", "isn't" etc'

אבאל=אבל

מנס=מנסה
When a word ends with the vowel of E like in Egg and A like in Anti there have to be ה in the end
examples:
רוצה=rosse
עשה=Asa

I can speak a couple of tourist phrases I picked up from my trips to Israel. Our guide is a sabra and he usually trys his best to educate us ignorant southerners. I am planning to visit Israel again in February and I think I am going to invest in the Rosetta Stone for Hebrew.
