Israel: a "one A-bomb" nation
« on: December 26, 2007, 10:49:09 AM »
Israel is a "one bomb" nation ie one Hiroshima-size a-bomb in any of its centers, and it's finished. Yet here they seem to think that it could survive a nuclear exchange with Iran!

US REPORT: ISRAEL WOULD WEATHER NUCLEAR WAR WITH IRAN

Study compiled by US Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), headed by a former Pentagon analyst, explores several hypothetical scenarios for unconventional warfare in our region. Authors find ‘Israel’s residents and economy could weather nuclear war with Iran’

WASHINGTON- All out nuclear war between Israel and Iran: a doomsday scenario that we all fear deeply. A new study compiled by the US Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), headed by former Pentagon analyst Anthony H. Cordesman, explored just such a nightmare scenario, noting that it could lead to the death of between 16- 28 million Iranian civilians, and 200-800 thousand Israelis.

This hypothetical, research-oriented study also explored other contingencies for unconventional warfare in our region, noting the tactics that various countries could potentially employ in such instances.

As pertains to nuclear warfare, the study found that an Israeli nuclear scrimmage with Iran would most likely last for about three weeks. Aside from the aforementioned direct casualties, the study could not determine how many additional long-term casualties would arise from fallout and radiation in the weeks and months following such an attack.

One essential requirement for nuclear confrontation in our region, according to the study, is allowing Iran’s nuclear program to develop, unhindered by a pre-emptive strike by either Israel or the United States. If US or Israeli preemption does not occur, the study found, Iran could very well have 30 nuclear warheads available for warfare between 2010-2020. Israel, by comparison, currently has 200 nuclear war heads with both air and sea launch capabilities, according to the study.

I read that and thought to myself that it was completely insane.  There is nothing in prophecy to indicate any firey destruction in the end days on any Jewish cities.  The time of Jacob's trouble speaks of conventional battles and armies.  I do think that Damascus is going to get nuked.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Zechariah 12:9-10

"Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place.  "So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress.  "Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.  "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."
Daniel 9:24-27

The problem with Iran and the nukes, is politically correctness. Liberals think that all countries have equal rights, but that's wrong amd it's also wrong to hide the facts. USA, even having done many misdeeds, has had nukes for 60 years and never used them. The Soviet Union, even being an evil dictatorship, never nuked any country. But Iran is not civilised enough to have nukes or nuclear reactors. The same applies to people, a mentally ill has every right to being respected and treated alike, but it would be absurd to allow him to have a gun machine!!!!!!! If Iran wants nuclear power for electricity, then they must have their reactors supervised by a foreign agency. And must admit that they are not prepared to do a good use of nuclear energy without being strictly controlled. That's the truth and they must accept it if they want to be respected. They cannot claim to be treated like USA or Israel!!!!!!! They are not mentally sane as them!!!!!

Remember the Chernobyl nuclear reactor meltdown in the USSR?

It wasn't even a bomb detonation, but it stopped the entire world 'dead in its tracks'...not to mention stopped the huge USSR from paying attention to anything else.

It is still burning, and will continue to burn; spewing radioactivity out into the atmosphere, for the next 50 million years.

It cannot be extinguished.

Those who talk about using nuclear bombs in a cavalier manner are simply insane.

Iran, Pakistan, other maniacs really need to be stopped NOW before they kill themselves and take the whole world down with them.

The thought that Israel could "absorb a nuclear detonation and survive" is one of the craziest things I've ever seen in print...whoever made that judgement is certifiably mentally ill.

There would be NOTHING left of Israel, and little left of her neighboring countries, should a nuclear detonation occur over Haifa, Tel Aviv, or Jerusalem.
