Jamaica Shooting - Send Jesse in to Get His Butt Shot At, Not the Cops!

Amidst the media feeding frenzy surrounding the shooting of three black guys in Jamaica, I notice there is plenty of coverage on Sharpton, "Rev." Herbert Daughtry (wearing his usual "I hate white people" hats), and now Jesse Jackson - but nary a word about the fact that all three of the men who where shot have long criminal histories. That the guy who was killed was on parole for drug convictions (so why was he in a known drug/criminal hangout?). Isn't that in itself a violation of his parole? That the club involved is so bad that it is the object of an undercover investigation by NYPD. Now they are looking for a 4th person who ran from the car who the cops believe dumped a weapon somewhere along the way. We are also expected to believe that driving your car at full speed directly at a cop is not "a threat to life" , neither is ramming a police van , then backing up and ramming it again. What are the cops supposed to wait for, being shot at with a bazooka?

All we hear about is how wonderful the murdered guy was. How he was getting married the next day - about time too, he only has two kids with the bride! I'm sure his bride was thrilled to find out he was hanging out at a combination strip club, brothel and drug den just hours before he was supposed to walk down the aisle with her!
The Mayor stands there with a pained look on his face, right next to City Councilman Charles Barron, who only the night before on national TV threatened that "violence may break out in the black community" and made all kinds of threats for violence. This animal is an ex-Black Panther, who openly applauds so-called revolutionaries who have killed police officers in the past, and supports every dangerous lunatic from Hugo Chavez to Joanne Chesimard. Adding to the insanity is a recent threat against police from gangs like the Crips and Bloods who are threatening retaliation for the shootings. It's pretty obvious that City Hall is controlled by gutless wimps who grovel at the feet of Sharpton the ambulance chaser. We all know what's coming next - federal civil rights violations against the cops, lawsuits by the families of those who were shot, huge cash settlements by the City of NY (courtesy of our tax dollars), and cops whose hands will be tied even more than they are already. All that's missing is OJ Simpson to round out the chorus of "outrage". The cops should not respond to calls coming in from black neighborhoods - let them all kill each other or deputize Jesse Jackson as the new sheriff of South Jamaica.http://

People who become cops really should have their heads examined. Don't law abiding people realize that cops are outthere doing a job that protects them from trash like this? It is going to get to the point that police forces will not be able to get people to fill positions if this is the way officers are treated when they defend themselves. That picture above only shows two of the three stooges it doesn't have the main clown Charlie Barrons thats the bigest ass in the bunch.

I agree with your analysis, but I think those officers should be relieved of their duty and without pay. If 50 shots were fired I'd expect that at least 35 would be on target.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say you're all wrong.

True, the guys who were shot were scum of the Earth. And I wouldn't waste a thought on their misfortune. They had it coming, and this was G-d's way of giving it to them. It's a shame Charles Barron wasn't in the car.

But none of that matters, because that's not why the cops shot them. This could happen to law abiding citizens too, and that's what concerns me.

This had nothing to do with the race of those "upstanding individuals." It's about incompetent cops. Many of them (I can't say if that's the case here) on a power trip.

Several years ago, I passed a red light. A small sports car with two big, scary looking guys came rushing up from behind me and tried to cut me off. I assumed they were bad news, and I didn't wait to find out what they wanted from me. I took off, and they gave chase. About a half a mile later, they passed me, and blocked off the street. Then the two huge guys got out, and approached my car. I pulled a knife. At the last second, I noticed one of them had a badge under his jacket.

Thank G-d I saw the badge before they saw the knife.

Cops often go into action without identifying themselves. And if a startled individual tries to defend himself against what he thinks is an attacker, he will be shot. This time, it happened to three deserving gentlemen. But it can just as easily happen to you and me.

Why did he ram the police car? Put it in perspective. One of the cops claimed the "victims" had just had an argument that almost (or did) turned violent, and left the club, saying "get my gun." (In fact, that's where the gun came from. No one ever saw a gun, they just heard him ask for one.) Now this guy, who just had a fight with another model citizen, gets cut off by an unmarked minivan, and some tough looking men are coming right at him. What do you think he's thinking? He thought they were there to continue the fight, so he rammed them. Chances are, they did not identify themselves as cops, in which case I would have done the same.

Ask yourself this. We know that even if there was a gun, none of the cops saw it, and certainly, it wasn't fired. Now the other cops claim when they heard the first cop fire his weapon, they thought they were being shot at, so they returned fire.

AT WHAT? ? ? ?

How did they assess a target, if they couldn't possibly have determined who (they thought) was shooting at them? Is that procedure? Just fire in the general direction you think the shots are coming from? Are they taught to return fire before assessing the situation? What if the shots came from a window in one of the houses? What if there was a hostage in the car? What if there were pedestrians walking by?

Clearly these guys were not thinking, except for the commander, who took cover, and then came around to get a better vantage point. He didn't fire a single shot.

Remember Gideon Bash? He was waving a toy hammer above his head, and chanting prayers that would give the hammer magical powers. Six cops formed a semi-circle around him at a distance of 15-20 feet. They stood that way for 30 seconds. Bash did not make a move toward the cops. Suddenly, they just opened fire and executed him.

And what Yirmiyahu said is not that far fetched. Every missed shot is a stray bullet. Remember Amadu Dialo? 41 shots from 5 feet, and only 19 hit him. That's a sign of unprofessionalism.

The bottom line is we should all be thankful this happened to a bunch of losers who will not get the chance to do unto others as was done onto them. But we should take a lesson from it. The cops don't know - or care - what their doing.

Don't delude yourself. They're not there to protect you. They're there to be your overlords.

I like LeChayim's point of view.  It seems that the cops did not identify themselves so the blacks thought that they were being attacked by someone they had a fight with earlier as I would have probably thought.

The Chinese make the chicken wings & french fries, Mexicans make the Taco '(but then again boycotting Taco Bell may be a good idea with the e-coli problem,Pakistanians sell the groceries ( 40 Malt beer etc.) & fast food (KFC,etc.)

I heard today something about the guy being shot was under police surveillance for a few weeks. If this is true that may have something to do with the police reaction that night.

Last summer a Jamaican Shvartza's, members of a drug gang, had a shoot out in the middle of Toronto's down town shopping district killing one innocent white girl and wounding others. It was conveniently taken out of the news within less than a week.  If they had of been white their pictures would have been splashed all over the news with people out protesting for Canada to bring back Capital Punnishment.  Another piece of inequality in a Socialist nation....
