Should Martin Luther King Day Be Banned?
« on: January 14, 2008, 03:18:05 AM »
I think it should but I admit I like the day off from class.

My college doesn't give off for Presidents Day thought but it does give 2 days off at the end of January out of no where. But when I went to community college, they gave us a 5 day weekend for Presidents Day (Thursday to Monday). But my question is out of all minor national holidays, why is MLK Day the day when they give off and not Columbus Day or Veterans Day, etc...?

Yes.

This is certainly necessary.
Turkey must get out of NATO. NATO must get out of Kosovo-Serbia. Croats must get out of Crajina. All muslims must get out of Christian and Jewish land. Turks must get out of Cyprus. Turks must get out of "Istanbul". "Palestinians" must get out of Israel. Israel must become independent from USA.

I have my thoughts about MLK. I am a Jew and my racial backround has Negro in it. And I am no self hating Negro,(Yet of course 99.99 percent of negroes are anti-semites and are insanely jealus) but this man deserves no holiday. I dont see what he did right. Good speaker maybe, but I can spot a phony when I see one. And he was. BTW, my father (Of blessed memory) saw him drunk in a bar in New York City trying to pick up women in the 1960's. If anyone want to know the full story, I will post a thread on it.

I heard the FBI had tapes of MLK in bed with 2 or three women at once.

Some of the blacks here in New York are not even interested in that garbage. For most people its just a poor excuse for a three day weekend. Sad fact is that poor old honest Abe Lincoln had to loose his day for that black animal and Washington's birthday is now celebrated as Presidents Day. I get every holiday in the book off with pay at my job except for that cr-p. Its tough turning my nose up to the possibility of an additional day off but so far our group has resisted the temptation.

Not that the FBI wanted to ruin the man for nefarious purposes!

Hell yes, ban that affirmative action holiday!  That didn't need a second thought.

And before the whole world free.
As our fathers trusted humbly,
Teach us, Lord, to trust Thee still:
Guard our land and guide our people
In Thy way to do Thy will.

Why do you dislike Dr. King so much?  He was a man of peace, and it has been said by those who knew him that he was a supporter of Israel.

He was most certainly a man of peace. The movement he led was non-violent.  He preached non-violence, and he never physically attacked or retaliated against anyone.

Yes, please do start it. Were these women white or were they "sistas"?

And MLK was married, so what was he doing with them? And he called himself a "minister". I guess he was a minister like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are ministers.

What was he doing with them?  ??? Not making coffee that was sure.  :::D

By all mean, MLK is not a legend of any kind.  Really one of the least evil people relative to people of his nation...heheh, but that doesn't mean that he wasn't evil..i'm just saying the least evil.

So if one is to compare him to Osama bin Ladin...well, it just ridiculous to say that MLK was just as bad or worse...he wasn't.

Now, you are going to compare him to Kahane or Chaim...and Kahane or Chaim were the size of the sun, then MLK would be the size no larger than a hydrogen atom..perhaps smaller.

In BullCat jr.'s school - we have started our annual 2 months of discussing the life of the GREAT MLK >:(
He is the only person who gets this much attention in the classroom next to the great great Native Americans.
It's a world turned upside down.  :D

You can spend whole evenings trying to rectify the revisionist history being taught in the schools.

MLK should not have a National Holiday in his name.  Tell me how he contributed to the Nation as a whole?
Be very CAREFUL of people whose WORDS don't match their ACTIONS.
