I've been to several areas in the US as well as out of the country.
I grew up in Chicago suburbs, traveled to Wisconsin (where my mothers family lives), been to Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida (where I live currently). Never been to the west coast or the east coast.
1997, went on Carnival Inspiration cruise which we flew to Puerto Rico (been there twice now), stayed in the hotel for one day and watched WWF wrestling in Spanish, next day checked in on the cruise ship and had one of the largest rooms on the ship with balcony. Ship went to Dominican Republic, US Virgin Islands, St Martin, and I think that was it. Next week went to Disney Land.
1998 went on a cruise to Hawaii, best trip I had ever been on. Plane trip was like 8 hours, pretty long trip and what a sight seeing Hawaii from the airplane, very beautiful island. Trip was 3 weeks long, 1 week on a cruise, 2 weeks flying to each island by plane after. It was weird because of the timezones, by the time we got to Hawaii, sun was still up. Cruise ship was older (I think a sister ship to titanic), it was scrapped the following year and the boat still had classes (1st class, 2nd class, 3rd class). Instead of keycards, rooms used a key and I still have mine. I don't remember the name of the ship, but there were no stabilizers so my family got pretty sick at sea. Had the largest room on the ship, few celebrities stayed in the same room we were in. After the cruise, visited the area where Jurassic park was filmed (waterfall), stayed in some nice hotels and got to explore more of the island. Probably one of my best memories was being able to visit Kilauea volcano and actually walk on it. Also first time I went Scuba diving (I was like 12 or 13 at the time) and the water was pretty clear.
1999, Went on Carnival Destiny cruise ship with my family and my aunt and 2 cousins. Launched from Miami Had one of the large rooms again. We visited Cozumel, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands. Jamaica sucked, though we climbed this huge waterfall which was fun, Cozumel there were a lot of poor people selling stuff from huts, poverty was really high though they had good food (don't drink the water though), nice beaches, and cheap to rent jetskis. Cayman Islands was nice but I didn't get the chance to scuba dive there, got to see the stingrays though out on some sandbar in the middle of no where off coast of cayman islands which was a neat experience. Went to disney land the week after.
After that, didn't go on a cruise until 2003 which was the Carnival Destiny again, large room again, our family (my mother, brother and I), my aunt, cousin, and her husband, my moms younger sister, and her parents. Flew to Puerto Rico and launched the following day, went to Aruba, Barbados, and Martinique. Aruba was a nice island, great beaches, Barbados also had great beaches but there wasn't much to see there, Martinique I believe was French, all the blacks had a French accent and it was full of swamps. I thought it was an interesting island though.
Pretty much where i've traveled. I'd like to visit Israel, Japan, Germany and the Czech republic.
