Most yogurts tend to be kosher with the OU seal, but I'm not sure about Yoplait.  It may be one of those that uses non-kosher gelatin (pig fat).  Check the label.  Who's Andrea Rosen?

Andrea Rosen is a comedian.  I think she may have been on VH1 or one of these cable shows.

I absolutely despise Yoplait because they try to trick people into thinking they are Kosher, when they're not.  They put "KD" on the container (which they can do because of a loophole in the law), and in the ingredients they put "kosher gelatin."  They have no certification of Kashrus whatsoever!

They probably get it from Deforms. A generic K just means a rabbi certifies it but you have to look into it yourself which rabbi. In Philadelphia, Pepsi has a K on it but it is really under The Community Kashrut of Philadelphia which is the most recognized Orthodox kashrut organization in Philadelphia. They're symbol is the Keystone-K and used to be called The Orthodox Va'ad of Philadelphia.

In the case of "K Gelatin", I think it means that the animal product was separated from the product after it gelled. This is what Jello uses. But it is not a reliable hashgacha.

Real kosher gelatin is made from fish bones.
The Reform don't give out hechshers, becuase they don't believe in the concept of Kashrus whatsoever.
