Removing paint off your hands.
« on: January 23, 2008, 06:49:09 PM »
My hands are completely black with enamel paint and i've nearly peeled off my skin in the process of trying to remove it. Any other suggestions to water and soap?

It looks like i've had a bath in a tar pit.

May I ask how this situation came about?

I decided to paint my converses black for tomorrow, and couldn't find a paintbrush that wasn't ruined by dried paint already. So I started using a pencil but then got annoyed ......and then used my hands. They're successfully finished, but now i'm stuck and can't go to school like this, or they'll send me home.

Maybe you should just paint the rest of you black, and then call them Racists if they send you home.  ;D

If you don't have paint thinners around try using some rubbing alcohol or if available a small amount of kerosene on a rag. Just be careful to only use a very small amount and remember its flammable. I have also had good results using vegetable oil or motor oil  on a rag to get most of it off. Hang any rags outside to let them air out before putting them in the trash if you use a solvent.

Thanks! I'll try vegetable oil now.

I hear that turpentine is good for removing paint. Haven't heard from you in a while. Good to hear from you again.
Does it bother you that you have to face the dome and the rock to say the sh'ma?

You should paint your face black. You be able to immigrate to the USA and get affirmative action.
