UN rights council condemns Israel's actions in Gaza and Yesha
« on: January 24, 2008, 10:27:22 AM »
The UN's top human rights body on Thursday passed a resolution condemning Israeli military action in Gaza and the West Bank.

The resolution, which also demands the lifting of the blockade on Gaza and calls for international action to protect PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi civilians, was proposed by Arab and Muslim countries and passed by 30 votes in favor, with 15 abstentions, during an emergency session of the 47-member UN Human Rights Council.

European countries abstained from the vote on the grounds that the resolution did not address the firing of rockets by PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi terrorists into Israel territory.

On Wednesday, the United Nations Security Council grappled for a response to the situation in the Gaza Strip and Israel's UN mission was busy lobbying UNSC member countries to amend the draft presidential statement to include condemnation of PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi rocket attacks on Israel, which the original neglects to mention.

Council experts met behind closed doors Wednesday morning to amend a Libyan draft statement that calls on Israel to end its siege of Gaza and ensure "unhindered access for humanitarian assistance to the PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi people," but makes no mention of the rocket attacks that triggered the blockade.

Also Thursday, UNRWA, the United Nations agency aiding PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi refugees, urged Arab Gulf countries Thursday to provide about $9.8 million in aid money for Gaza.

The money would buy food, medicine and other supplies for PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis - especially children and pregnant women - suffering under the blockade of Gaza, said Peter Ford, a representative for UNRWA's commissioner general.

It would also fund fuel for hospitals and cash assistance to the needy, he said.

"The siege has led to a significant increase in the burden on PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi civilians," Ford said.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon voiced his concern of a mounting humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Ban - who was speaking with President Shimon Peres and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in Davos, Switzerland - qualified his statement, asserting that Israel had the right to defend itself.

According to Army Radio, Peres replied that Israel would not allow the situation in the Strip to deteriorate to hunger and would not collectively punish the population there.

Livni made it clear that Hamas could not be a part of the negotiations. "We are holding clandestine talks with the PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi Authority so that the [two] sides can arrive at an agreement on all the issues on the agenda.

First I'm not suprised the UN is again bashing Israel not Egipt which is responsible for its Gazan A-rabs welfare; But Peres is insane punishing Hamastanians for actions of their elected leaders is not collective punishment and even Shmolmert agreed it's war, Imagine Churchil saying:

Alies would not allow the situation in the Berlin to deteriorate to hunger and would not collectively punish the nazi backing population there. :D

Jeremiah 8:11-17

11 They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. Peace, peace, they say, when there is no peace.

12 Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says the LORD.

13 'I will take away their harvest, declares the LORD. There will be no grapes on the vine. There will be no figs on the tree, and their leaves will wither. What I have given them will be taken from them.'

14 Why are we sitting here? Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities and perish there! For the LORD our God has doomed us to perish and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against him.

15 We hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there was only terror.

16 The snorting of the enemy's horses is heard from Dan; at the neighing of their stallions the whole land trembles. They have come to devour the land and everything in it, the city and all who live there.

17 See, I will send venomous snakes among you, vipers that cannot be charmed, and they will bite you, declares the LORD.

Hehe..
It should be like that:

a: What do you think about the UN ?
b: The UN? How many divisions does the UN have?
Not a foreign land we took and not with foreign possession but a land that belong to our ancestors that was occupied without a trial. And when we had the opportunity, we took our land back.
