As far as I'm concerned, every country, except for Micronesia, is Anti-Israel and is Anti-Semetic...But that's only when we act whiney and petty.

However, every country will respect us if we dont' give a damn what anybody thinks..that includes Japan and everyone else.

Enough of this, "oh they supported Hitler in 1943" or "they suported boopityboo...they are anti-semites...blah blah blah."

This type of pettiness and crap will get us no where...We cannot rely on anyone to like us...We have to respect ourselves first and not care what anybody else thinks!

Enough of this Japanese this and Japanese that...German this German that. Russian this russian that, British this British that...  It's so retarded..it makes me sick how many of you complain about other countries...Geez!

Serbia thanks you.

We just lost a MILLION Serbs because of not siding with NAZIGERMANY.

about HOW we would be recognized
for this SACRIFICE,
after the second world war...

I agree with CF. What the Japanese did in WWII were monstrous and unforgivable crimes against humanity.

Japan fought together with Hitler yimach shmo vezichro. If Japan had not been involved in WWII as Hitler's main ally, the war against Nazi Germany would have ended much sooner, and millions of Jews and non-Jews would not have been murdered.

To this day, Japan has a very anti-Israel and pro-Arab foreign policy. Polls show that most Japanese are anti-Israel and anti-Semitic.

Like many ghetto-minded Jews, Tovia Singer loves to pretend that the Jews have all types of imaginary allies. Singer considers the Canadian Conservative party politicians to be pro-Israel, despite the flagrantly anti-Israel policies which Canada has always pursued when the Conservatives are in power. And Singer praises the Japanese because some of them saved a handful of Jews. However, if Japan and Nazi Germany had won WWII, the entire Jewish people would have been exterminated. And 6 million Jews were exterminated in part thanks to Japan fighting fanatically in an unspeakably evil alliance with Hitler.

Chaim, in all honesty, we shouldn't rely on any country in this world to like us or hate us.. We have to respect ourselves first as Jews. I think it makes no sense holding a grudge against any country...We should be vigilant...but holding grudge is pointless.

We, in fact, have to stop looking for approval from anyone and just do our thing for our own survival.  I woudl rather be hated, but respected, than to be a dead Jew with holocaust memorials in every street corner.

Once again, you're SO right,
Serbs should have looked at their own "business",
instead of fighting NAZIGERMANY !!!

A MILLION of them would have lived
their Precious Lives to the fullest.

We even saved Jewess ALBRIGHT
from NAZICLAWS, and she was
thankfull to us, Serbs...with BOMBS.

I guess we Serbs are DUMB,
to say the very least,
for being so sensitive, emotive.

Forgive me Chaim,
but this is too much.

I had to write it.

Ughhh.  You guys are arguing oranges and apples.   Theres no question that Japs were savage, just as the nazis and the fascists were in WWII and before. And they WERE very pro Nazi back then.

But now, they are an ally.  That doesnt mean there arent closet nazi-japs, but the vast majority of them are on our side.  And by the way, they are starting to get Muslims from Indonesia, etc, and they HATE them.

I completely agree with Dr. Dan's posts on this thread.  As Jews, we should not worry about what others think of us.  We should focus on being good proud Jews, protecting ourselves and doing the right things.

He forgot Australia, too.

Australia has consistantly voted pro-Israel in the UN, even at times when America abstained. At the joke of a "UN conferrence against racism" that was nothing but an Israel-bash up, Australia was (I think) the first delegation to leave in disgust.

I think the CF, Chaim, Husar and Newman have right if we think that Germans are noble nor are Japanese; And to Dan, Mills and Lisa Jews mut be respected and respect themselfs but Israel's problem is relying on foreign power's might not on of G-d's. Acepting the help from Rigteus Gentille nations like Darius the Great Persia is not mistake.
Jeremiah 8:11-17

11 They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. Peace, peace, they say, when there is no peace.

12 Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says the LORD.

13 'I will take away their harvest, declares the LORD. There will be no grapes on the vine. There will be no figs on the tree, and their leaves will wither. What I have given them will be taken from them.'

14 Why are we sitting here? Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities and perish there! For the LORD our God has doomed us to perish and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against him.

15 We hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there was only terror.

16 The snorting of the enemy's horses is heard from Dan; at the neighing of their stallions the whole land trembles. They have come to devour the land and everything in it, the city and all who live there.

17 See, I will send venomous snakes among you, vipers that cannot be charmed, and they will bite you, declares the LORD.

NOBODY (least of all me) thinks germans are noble. I just get sick and tired of Japanese atrocities being overlooked when they were (often) far worse than anything germans did on the battlefield. I'm not ignoring the showa, just separating it from the war-proper.

I think Rabbi Kahane settled this arguement in 1989, or possibly before: "There are no allies, only interests."  It is up to the Jewish people to realize who and what they are and reach for Kiddush HaShem by making Israel a Jewish State as the Torah identifies...  "Not a Hebrew speaking Greece." - RKD
"‘Vehorashtem/Numbers 33:53’: When you burn out the Land’s inhabitants, you will merit to bestow upon your children the Land as an inheritance. If you do not burn them out, then even if you conquer the Land, you will not merit to allot it to your children as an inheritance." - Ovadiah ben Yacov Sforno; Italian Rabbi, Biblical Commentator, Philosopher and Physician.  1475-1550.

Accepting help is not a bad thing, but we hope that if we were to ever accept help that the nation helping us is not going to ask us for something back that might end up making us slaves to them.
If someone says something bad about you, say something nice about them. That way, both of you would be lying.
