Sometimes I just lie in bed like a schmuck for a long time before falling asleep and it pisses me off!

My brain thinks too much when i go to bed, especially if i need to do something special the next day...or planning. As Scriabin said, you need to try and think of NOTHING. If you think of nothing, you will easilly fall asleep. I know, easier said than done $:-\$

Skippy, you're lucky you can fall asleep so easily. A lot of people tell me they fall asleep so easily, but I can never relate to this.

See Ari you have never been in an area when your life depends on the ability to sleep quickly, I remember so time back we worked 74 hours without sleep , we had little choice, its about training your body and mind to accept your will.

But I am glad you have a problem with sleeping, because it shows you have always been safe in your life, and with G-ds will I pray that never changes

I am saying if your life depending on sleeping you train your body to do so. Its a long term behavioral development skill.

Well, I guess that's one positive way to look at it. Thanks Skippy. I can relate to this too, Newman. I do have ambien for dire emergencies, but it makes you a complete zombie the next day in my experience.
