Author Topic: My right eye is swollen shut (Read 4199 times)

As some of you may know I umpire High School baseball. Well I was at one of my game working I was standing between 2nd and third base when a line drive hit me right in my right eye. I have an Orbital Fracture and a broken nose. I went to the ER last night and had a Cat Skan. I am feeling a little under the weather. I am seeing an Ear Nose and Througt Docter in aboug an hour. Don't yet know if I will need Sugery.

The eye is self was missed and is undamaged Thank God. I however won't ever go onto the field without face protection anymore. Those Metal bats that they use are deadly and need to be banned.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Its a good thing that you weren't hit in the neck. Several people have been killed that way.

I pray right now, VERY STRONGLY that this nose/eye gets better SPEEDILY, and the pain would subside quickly..and then you will go back to that place you umpire, and get RID of the metal bats, ASAP. B"H

Speedy recovery!! Be sure to ware the proper gear when your on the field from now on.

Thanks for all you support. I will need sugery my Orbital bone was knocked 7.3 MM out of place. I am getting some vision back in my right eye. As soon as the swelling goes down I will have sugery.
