The Name of G-d is meant to be being constantly mentioned and praised by the Jewish People: "This people I have created for Me that they should relate My praise" (Yeshaya 43).
It is therefore a shame that IDF Chief of Staff Gabbi Ashkenazi should fail to mention or invoke

once in his otherwise reasonable speech

The fact that Ashkenazi, like most Israeli professional soldiers, was raised as an out and out chilloni, and probably knows, believes and observes

His concern about Arab lives, his willingness to cede the Golan, and his Bulgarian-Syrian antecedents also don't inspire too much confidence, although Golani soldiers who served under him, swear by him
