Dear Mr. President,
In this hard moment – when the EU and USA are trying to end their criminal intention regarding the secession of Kosovo and Metohia from Serbia, the Government and the Assembly of the Republic of the Serbian Kraina in Exile, would like to assure you that the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian people have been in the mortal clasp of the EU members states and the NATO since 1990, and that this mortal clasp will not cease even with the current compelling of the UN member states to recognize “the state of Kosovo”.
It is high time to understand that the EU and USA have hostile intentions in regard to the Serbian people, and Serbian states. Finally since Croatia has declared its decision to recognize “the state of Kosovo”, it would be too foolish for us (Serbs) to present the USA and EU policies as well meant.
Because of all this, we have been shocked by your statement published in the “Pravda” daily, Belgrade, on page 4. you have stated that slaughtered Serbs, Roma and Jews have to be forgotten, and that any criminal proceedings at an international court against the Republic of Croatia concerning the war reparations and mass slaughter of civilians belonging to these three peoples in the system of concentration camps “Jasenovac” and at other places of execution in the territories of today’s Republic of Croatia of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As the newspaper says, you said that any court proceedings would derange the relations between the states in this part of Europe, which is totally wrong conclusion because the instability in this region is the consequence of impunity of the perpetrations of crimes committed during the World War II in the territory of the Independent State of Croatia, and because the Republic of Croatia has not paid war reparations. Naturally, the responsibility for these awful crimes goes to the heir states of the occupying countries: Federal Republic of Germany and Republic of Italy.
You must bear in mind that Federal Republic of Germany has paid war reparations concerning the Jewish victims and the allied countries from the World War II, and the relations between the countries have not been deranged because of that. On the contrary, the just conviction of FR of Germany in regard to the crimes of genocide has contributed to the cooperation and understanding between European and overseas countries. Such justice against the Republic of Croatia, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Italy – in regard to the slaughter innocent people on the territory of the Independent State of Croatia – will consolidate the relations between the states in this region, not making them worse as you think.
I must remind on that according to the international law, the crimes of genocide do not become obsolete.
Since you services do not want to cooperate with the Parliament and Government of the RS Kraina in Exile, this is an open letter.
