I move on Sunday

I have been very busy this week packing and getting ready for my move to Seattle. I am very excited about this. I will be working at a Kosher Bagel Restaurant and will be active in a real Jewish Community for the first time in my life. I have been making the 100 mile commute almost every Shabbat since the Chabad house only caters to the University population which is 99.99% Reform. It seems that the Chabad Rabbi is more concerned about the Reform Students than a Frum Jew who need him now more then ever. So this is why I have not been as active as I'd like to be. I will be making two car trips to Seattle this Sunday. One in the morning to move my stuff and one to move. I Start work on Monday at 7 AM.

Good luck, but why seattle? You should of moved to an even more active jewish area.

I with my limited money that I have saved up and the fact that I was givin a full time job offer that kind of made this the only reasonable place for me to relocate to. If you have ever looked for a job in a city you don't live in you would know just how hard it is. I lucked out and got it on the first shot. There is really no other city that I could afford to move to. Also my Rabbi Seattle said I could stay with him for a very reasonable price. I couldn't say no.

   Good luck with the move. One of the missions of Chabad is to bring Judaism to places where it is lacking. That is why Chabad reaches out to the non-religious. While it differs from our position of bringing all Jews back to eretz yisrael, I have a place to learn and pray because of Chabad.
   I would have to say that it is a great Mitzva that Chabad restores Judaism to some who have lost it through assimilation and even intermarriage.
