(houses are expensive here in the uk, typically houses are maybe 300,000 in london. But 800,000 is excessive!)

He receives £150($300) a week incapacity benefit from the government for his bad back (though he is ok carrrying a rucksack on it)
He receives income support
council tax credits (complete exemption from the annual council tax bill)
and benefits for each of his children.
By english law, they can't deport him to Jordan because it would breach his human rights

(that's an interesting point.. One terrorist, the so-called tottenham ayatollah - after a mocking tv program about him, Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed, he was afraid of being charged, and he fled to lebanon or libya.. his lawyer protege said on TV that he was on holiday. Of course, it was permanent. So, I guess omar bakri wasn't forced )
