Leftist Israeli fighter-jockeys not up to the job
« on: August 07, 2008, 05:10:05 AM »
Unlike in 1981 where Israel had arch-Zionist pilots like Ilan Ramon (who died on the Shuttle) who were willingly prepared to give their lives for their state, the calibre of the current Israeli pilots has declined, as seen from the 2006 war. All Israeli pilots are hard core secular leftists. No kippah-wearing pilots are allowed. If a pilot becomes a chozer betshuvah, he is immediately demoted to ground duties.

I don't think the Israelis are up to bombing Iran alone. The pilots may refuse to fly on what could be a suicide mission.

The Iranians are fully alerted, armed to the teeth, the targets are under ground, unlike Osirak, it's double the distance, and the pilots know that by the time they got back to base, their own base and homes could well be under missile attack from Iran and Syria, which would prey on their minds. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,399124,00.html
