With Biden, Obama Ticket Gets Riskier
« on: August 24, 2008, 01:01:27 AM »
Washington, D.C. (August 23, 2008) -- Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) Executive Director Matt Brooks issued the following statement today:

"With the selection of Senator Joe Biden as Senator Obama's vice president, the Democrat's ticket has now become an even greater gamble for the Jewish community.  Throughout his career, Senator Biden has consistently been wrong on Iran and his voting record on Israel has been inconsistent.  Like Obama, Biden fundamentally misunderstands the threat posed by an Iran determined to obtain nuclear weapons.  Biden has continuously demonstrated poor judgment on Iran.  He has voted against significant legislation that would pressure Iran to stop pursuing nuclear weapons.  Biden has failed to recognize the serious threat that Iran poses to Israel and the US and its allies in the Middle East," said RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks.

In 1998, Sen. Biden was one of only four senators to vote against the Iran Missile Proliferation Sanctions Act, a bill that punished foreign companies or other entities that sent Iran sensitive missile technology or expertise.  Biden was one of the few senators to oppose the bipartisan 2007 Kyl-Lieberman Ammendment labeling the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization.  In a December 2007 debate, Biden said "Iran is not a nuclear threat to the United States of America."  On MSNBC's "Hardball," Biden said he "never believed" Iran had a weapon system under production.

"The Jewish community was already gravely concerned with Senator Obama's naïve understanding of the Iranian threat.  An Obama-Biden ticket has proven that it is ill-equipped to deal with this threat. By selecting Senator Biden to join his ticket, voting for Senator Obama has now become an even greater risk," said Brooks.

If Obama and Biden are elected, I will see this as a political 9/11, a new attack from within.

At least this is a good development for now. Biden is a liberal nut of the exact same ilk as Obama. If the black messiah had had a brain or two, he would have picked Pruneface, in order to placate the "moderates" and try to win some Jewish voters. Instead, he picked a white Al Sharpton. This should hurt him, but I don't know if it will hurt him enough.

What will it take to get you to relize that Lieberman would not take a VP offer from Obama in a million years. Lieberman may be liberal on most issues but when it comes to foreign policy they are on two diffeffernt wave lenghts. Lieberman can't stand Obama that is why he endorsed McCain in Febuary

Lieberman claims to support the war in Iraq and the war on terror, but he is not far from Obama on Israel. Both support Oslo, both support land-for-peace, both saw Arafat in an extremely positive light, etc.

I'm still waiting to see how the citizenship issue unfolds. I pray to G-d that he's ineligible.

Shalom CF ! The radical left are so sure of themselves and they have lost every election. Hopefully they will lose again.

He did endorse McCain, I saw this on Fox news...Liberman is voting for him because he knows Obama is evil and up to no good. Give Liberman a break..even if he is a Liberal. If Liberman was so bad, I think he would have supported that Marxist Muslim LIAR.

It would be funny to see Obama pick Pruneface and McCain pick Hillary. Then we would see where these candidates loyalties really are. The problem that Obama is now going to face is that his campaign has been about change and Biden has been in politics for close to 40 years. It will be interesting to see how the convention goes. Hillary may resume her campaign and not back down without a fight.
Does it bother you that you have to face the dome and the rock to say the sh'ma?
