Watching Rudy speak right now at the Republican convention.
This has been a terrific speech.
I loved the part about ISLAMIC TERRORISM. Rudy didn't say 'radical' Islam or any beating around the bush...just ISLAMIC TERRORISM and mocked the Dems for being afraid to say it.
Then Rudy moved on to the question of Jerusalem. He mocked Obama for saying he supported an undivided Jerusalem one day, and changing his mind the next. He firmly stated that he and McCain are for an undivided Jerusalem.
Finally, Rudy was speaking about the Georgia/Russia conflict and ridiculed Obama's tendency to gravitate towards erroneous 'moral equivalencies' when making a tough decisions--and used the false equivalency between the 'Palestinian' Authority and Israel as an example.
For me this was a great speech by Rudy, because he clearly took on the issue of terrorism being Islamic, and left no doubt about his support for Israel.
This was somewhat unusual, as the speech was prinarily intended as an endorsement of McCain, but Giuliani's main emphasis on foreign policy besides Iraq was decidedly pro-Israel and anti-Islam.
This was about as good a speech as this JTF'er could have hoped for.
I hope some of Giuliani rubs off on McCain.
