Who can blame Marzutra for being cynical about the American political system ?
His cynicism and frustration about the 'establishment' is well deserved and totally understandable.
However, as I mentioned to him in another thread, it's a mistake to think there isn't a difference between the candidates or the parties.
Unfortunately, from a JTFer's point of view, just about every election boils down to voting for the lesser of two evils.
Accordingly, this can lead to a great degree of apathy, and a feeling that it doesn't matter who gets elected.
Hey, I'm not excited about voting for McCain...but I am terrified about what an Osama Hussein administration means for the future of the USA, Israel and the world.
So on the second Tuesday of Novermber, I'm definitely going to cast my vote against Obama, hoping that millions of other people that love America and Israel join me. Obama must be defeated. Then I'll hope for the best from McCain.
Sure, it sucks having to vote against a candidate, rather than being excited about the candidate you're voting for....but what's the alternative ?
So unless you want to endure 4 years of President Obama, or think it doesn't matter, get out there and vote for McCain.
