Here's a question from the transcript:

GIBSON: We talk on the anniversary of 9/11. Why do you think those hijackers attacked? Why did they want to hurt us?

PALIN: You know, there is a very small percentage of Islamic believers who are extreme and they are violent and they do not believe in American ideals, and they attacked us and now we are at a point here seven years later, on the anniversary, in this post-9/11 world, where we're able to commit to never again. They see that the only option for them is to become a suicide bomber, to get caught up in this evil, in this terror. They need to be provided the hope that all Americans have instilled in us, because we're a democratic, we are a free, and we are a free-thinking society.

She has to say it for political reasons. And even if she relly beleives that, so what? We are not going to get everything we want out of a politician until JTF produces one. That's the bottom line.

But did you miss how she defended Israel's right to militarily strike Iran? That was the most important part of the interview.

Yes, I would distinguish her from Bush.   Bush truly beleived that 'Islam is peace'  where Palin is a bit smarter than that.

But no politician that I am aware of (Other than Vito) would ever suggest the obvious... that Islam is in and of itself violent.

I agree that this was a bunch of crap, but her campaign managers probably forced her to say it. It was stupid, but she probably would have been denounced by everybody if she refused to throw in a pro-Islam comment. Unfortunately, she has to think about self-preservation. Hopefully, we will get to hear the "real" Sarah once elected.

Hi CF, Sarah Palin knows exactly what is at stake here, she realizes the importance of defeating the enemy within, so of course she is going to lie and be politically correct in saying Islam is peaceful. Sarah Palin knows the truth, but she has to be ( extra careful ) to ensure a win for the conservatives this fall.
After McCain and Palin are elected, I have no doubts they will throw this political BS out the door.

I have a good feeling that McCain knows what he is dealing with regarding Islam. I hope he dispenses with the Political BS after the election.
CF, I really do have a good feeling about this election now. I have seen how dangerous Obama really is, and I hope McCain is going to be a tough President.

Ironically these statements are bad because if Mccain wins it will make the Israelis think America will eliminate Iran's facilities (even though America won't) and therefore they'll be reluctant to do it themselves. If Osama wins the Israelis may immediately do it themselves because they know Osama will do everything in his power to prevent America from striking.

People seem to forget all the propaganda from the last "Bush" the "Right Wing" "Christian" "Republican" "American" rah rah rah elections only to conclude that Bush is the most Liberal/Socialistic President since FDR with his Tennessee Valley make work projects.  It behooves me that people actually expect a difference when nothing's changed since FDR....factually speaking that is... :thumbsdown:

You are absolutely correct Chaim to which you, yourself, agreed to with direct reference to one of my questions submitted to you on "Ask JTF" concerning the Council on Foreign Relations.   

I've never suggested that I didn't want McCain/Palin to win.  I certainly don't want Obama to win.  Please don't put words into my mouth.  Of course people should play the game and vote for McCain/Palin....   But I give my opinions as I see it...actually as many are starting to see it as the fraud it truly is.......

You convinced me to support Mccain in swing states with your intelligent argument that Mccain needs to win the national popular vote in addition to the electoral vote so that the electors can't use his loss on the national popular vote as an excuse to vote for Osama. You also said Osama needs to lose the national popular vote so that he's demoralized and won't run for president in the future. Even if I weren't supporting Mccain I would not selfishly undermine your hard work on your own forum.
I just suggested a possibility that Israel could get it's act together if a Muslim has the most powerful position in the world.

She's right though..it is a small percentage .  HOwever, even 10% of all Muslims will be approximately 100,000,000 of them if there are a billion..and saying 10% is being nice...it's really over 25% bordering on 30%!!!

IT is a minority of Muslims..but it's still a large number!
