Unbelievable attack on Palin
« on: September 23, 2008, 04:16:14 PM »
In case you didn’t hear about this over the weekend, I wanted to be sure you saw that the Democrats' attacks on Sarah Palin just won't stop.

Friday evening, we received an alert that Democrat Congressman Charlie Rangel from New York referred to Sarah Palin as "disabled" during an interview with a reporter from CBS.

Rangel's slur is disrespectful to Palin and to those who, like her baby son Trig, have special needs.

These nasty attacks just won't stop. And when McCain-Palin defeats Obama in November, the Democrat Congress will only get worse. That's why we absolutely must elect more conservatives this November who will help McCain-Palin push through their agenda.

Watch the video. You won't believe it. http://nrcc.org/nrcctv/

And please help support our candidates who are running hard to defeat liberals like Rangel. You can make a donation on our website today by clicking here now.

Thanks for your unwavering support!

Sincerely,

Tom Cole, M.C.
Chairman

Subject: Charlie Rangel calls Sarah Palin "disabled"

Rep. Rangel Calls Pali n 'Disabled'

Embattled Politician: It's Laughable That GOP VP Nominee Bases Foreign Policy On Being Able To See Russia

NEW YORK (CBS) ? Already under fire for his tax troubles, Manhattan Congressman Charles Rangel really put his foot in his mouth on Friday.

In a CBS 2 HD exclusive interview Rep. Rangel called Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin "disabled."

The question was simple. Why are the Democrats so afraid of Palin and her popularity. The answer was astonishing.

"You got to be kind to the disabled," Rangel said.

That's right. The chairman of the powerful House Ways & Means Committee called Palin disabled -- even when CBS 2 HD called him on it.

CBS 2 HD: "You got to be kind to the disabled?

Rangel: "Yes."

CBS 2 HD: "She's disabled?"

Rangel: "There's no question about it politically. It's a nightmare to think that a person's foreign policy is based on their ability to look at Russia from where they live.

Republicans think Rangel's comments are insulting as well as shocking.

"Charlie Rangel's comments are clearly disgraceful," Rep. Peter King, R-Long Island, said. "This is just another liberal Democrat who can't accept an independent woman running for president."

King, who is co-chair of the McCain-Palin campaign in New York, watched Rangel's comments with CBS 2 HD. He was particularly upset because Palin's 4-month-old son,=2 0Trig, is disabled. He has Down's syndrome.

"We should be sensitive to her or any woman who has a child or family member who has any affliction at all," King said. "And so to use the word disabled in the context of a female candidate for vice president who has a child who is disabled really is wrong. Charlie owes her and the entire disabled community an apology."

Advocates for the disabled are also upset. "It makes me feel as if he's trying to put her down, trying to say she's not good for the presidency or the vice presidency," Michael Imperiale said. "A disabled president ran this country. He was disabled. His name was Roosevelt." a spokesman for the McCain-Palin campaign also piled on, saying that this kind of rhetoric has no place in politics.

It is these dirty tactics that puts the icing on the cake.

In addition to what you mentioned,   when a Democrat or media member ( basically the same thing these days )  brings up Sarah Palin as it relates to foreign policy experience,   its an immediate reminder that the individual at the top of their ticket (  Barack Husssein Obama )   has less political office experience than Palin does.   Obama has served in the U.S. Senate for less than 150 days.      Obama has been on the campaign trail far longer than in the U.S. Senate.     He's the most unqualified individual at the top of a Presidential ticket since at least the 19th century.   Maybe even in the entire history of the country.

As for Charlie Rangel,   he's a complete joke.    With Rangel's baggage,  I hope he continues to speak out against the McCain/ Palin ticket.     The more Rangel is associated with Obama,  the better.
"Israel's leaders seem to be more afraid of Obama than they are of G-d. Now we're getting to the real root of the problem. Secular politics won't save Israel. Denying the divine nature of the Jewish State has brought Israel neither stability nor peace. When that changes Israel will finally be blessed with both in abundance"-----------NormanF   ( Posted on Israel Matzav's Blog )
