There are many who hold that Peres was behind the Rabin killing!
What is Peres discussing with the Shabak guards at 0.48 in this clip?
The proof is that israeli intelligence was behind it.
Who gave the order (presumably there was one), it's speculation.
The question about what Peres might have been discussing then, is just stupid without an answer, and don't expect it to be possible to guess the answer either. Chamish gave a great theory, based on an obscure interview he was given from british tv.. (there was a little girl in the car. Not so good if you want to shoot the PM in the car BTW, it looks like they shot him again in the hospital after ordering all the doctors and nurses out BTW, one remained there and hid.)
But what you're doing is by focussing on Peres you're overlooking the strong proofs that israeli intelligence was behind it. I suggest refering to israeli intelligence first. THEN, if you want, theory on why fingers point to peres as organising the whole thing or giving the order. Or at least certainly being involved and probably the biggest guy involved.
A big reason was the driver - who was clearly in on it - was Peres's driver. Not Rabin's. Rabin's driver was very upset, he didn't know why Peres's driver had that job that night. Peres was also the next PM after Rabin. There was some other reasons.. I think it was Peres that gave the rabin's "bodyguard" lots of money and a good position.. And he spoke about the "bullet" through the folded songsheet. Chamish points out that the folded songsheet had one hole, so it was probably planted after the crime and the criminals made a hole with some object. Obviously that's significant evidence to a set up, and perhaps points to Peres alot.
On an interesting note, apparently rabin referred to Peres as an "indefatigable schemer" in his autobiography. Infact I saw a british tv documentary on inside politics, there have been some fantastic ones. Peres admitted to lying to Ben Gurion telling him the plain had broken down, so he couldn't leave some negotiations even though he (Ben Gurion) wanted to leave. (Ben Gurion was peres's mentor!)
One reason I think people focus on Peres is
a)media for the rabin thing. By focussing on Peres it's a bigger story
b)to have some positive effect from it!
Fact is, Chamish writes his "who murdered yitzchak rabin", but doesn't say specifically. But does narrow it down to israeli intelligence.. And it is very significant. And the coverup is done even by state owned israeli tv, who produced 2 different versions of the assassination video, they actually moved yigal amir in the videos, they really surreptitiously changed the assassination video.
