This are their point:
1. a robust First Amendment,
2. equal rights for all,
3. broad-based economic and educational opportunity,
4. cultural liberalism,
5. vigilance in the face of oppression,
6. respect for the natural world,
7. a strong but not belligerent foreign policy,
8. and support for Israel.
Nice words and a lot of good points, that we can subscribe too. But I fear that they understand this points in an other way than we do. And they are hipocrites.
Point 1 Is imo right. But it can only work, if the gouvernment will retreat from the education sector. Because if the gouvernment schools are teaching atheism, the fair competition of world-views is highly defective. The Democrats are liers if they say that they would fight for the first ammendment. They only fight for their materialistic-socialistic worldview.
Point 2 i.e. is totally contrary to the Democrat record of affirmative action.
Point 3 is only possible in a real free market ecomomy. But Democrats oppose this fundamentally. They are for gouvernmental intervention in the free market. History proves that the more interventions the more a country is diveded. Look at Russia, Mexiko and India for example. There are a few super-rich people with good connections to the gouvernment and the vasp majority of people is poor. Now even the Republicans are infected by this Keynes-Socialist-virus. 700 Billions are spent now to rescue the donkeys of the multi-billionaires. Obama will expand this Keynes-programmes much more.
Point 4 has the same problems like point 1. Imo the Democrats are not honest with their term of cultural liberalism.
Point 5 is unclear.
Point 6 is good. And the Democrats have a record of enviroment policy. But I fear, that they Democrats often loose the balance between justified human interests and enviroment issues.
Point 7 Democratic foreign policy was imo at least under the Clinton administration insane and criminal. Plus Jimmy Carter was a Democrat. The foreign policy of Obama is terrible. Strong not at all.
Point 8 Obama doesn't support Israel. His whole life he surrounded himself with real anti-semites. His political adviser even suggested to bomb Israel. Great friend ....
