some of the threads he started had subjects so ridiculous they would put people off. It's good that you didn't give this thread such a subject.

I just came into JTF when this whole Yacov drama was going on. Did he really post brainless idiotic polls like this?

oh, I thought you were a real old timer!
I must have had you confused with somebody else!

Yes Yakov did make threads like that.  When he started the forum his posts on AskJTF were really crazy.  " chaim- should goldfish be kept in a tank"..(that was a question he asked once, i'm sure) And he did about a dozen questoins in an askjtf . And when limited had others ask questions on his behalf.
He did good posts too. He posted on everything.. thousands upon thousands of posts easily in no time.. like 20 very active people.

We don't go into dramas on people that left and hat happened.. or it turns into a soap opera..

The most troubling aspect of this is that the person who asked these ridiculous questions, now goes on splinter forums and posts about his desire for jtf to be destroyed.

DWI.

It's not productive or healthy to whine about this character or reminisce , about the good or the bad. And just for the sake of it.

Dr Dan just started this thing as a joke.. at least that's not unhealthy in itself.

It was a bit unwise of Dr Dan, because it is easy to anticipate that somebody, a concept. Could have been you, could have been somebody else, would turn it into a whole thing that we try to avoid..

I met Yacov at the Israel Day Celebration and I think he is a great person. He believes in the Rav's work a great deal and tried his best to keep JTF moving along. Its sad that he and JTF parted ways.

I also met Yacov in person.  He's not a bad person.  But as CJD said, it's that he parted ways with JTF.
