Where does Sarah Palin really stand on illegal immigration?
« on: November 21, 2008, 08:36:11 AM »
I brought this up before but didn't get an answer. Honestly, I want to be convinced that she is against illegal immigrants and amnesty, because, as I see it, this is THE MOST IMPORTANT AND URGENT issue for the U.S. Convince me that she is on the right side of it, and I will support her. But so far, I see alarming indications that this is not so. For example, her Univision interview:

Quote
-Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?

-No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They've got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

-To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?

-I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

This is very disturbing to me. How do you all justify her? Please, convince me that my doubts are wrong.

She cant be justified. But, you cant get all your goodies in one bag. We are just going to have to settle with Sarah Palin. She is way better than all of the other schmucks that look like they are going to run.

She lives in Alaska. How does she know what Mexicans are like? I think she needs to spend some time down in the barrios (with protection) then she'd understand. I think if she knew what these low life low class "immigrants" were really like, then she wouldn't do this to us. I don't think she's a bad person or a bad American. She just doesn't know this issue. Let's not condemn her, let's educate her.

Agreed. We can't. But this is why we will have to prioritize. What is the number one priority issue for the righteous America? I can't possibly think of anything more important than immigration. A shift in the demographic composition of the nation is irreversible. Demography is destiny. The U.S. will never get a righteous leader if the majority or a very large minority of its population is Third-World people (because you have to add to their votes those of stupid whites, like Obama's mother's family). A pending demographic disaster has to be addressed first, as I see it. Everything else can be compromised on.

We all know she had to say these things because of McCain.

By those standards you should support Pat Buchanan then, who professes to be very anti-immigration.

I agree it is a huge issue, but so is everything else.

Immigration is not the source of the problem. It is the outcome.

The socialist attitudes of the US and European societies are.

Immigration is something that is irreversible. The country will be in the hands of evil people. Other things are reversible or more or less so. It is true, I haven't mentioned Israel. Israel, besides being the #1 issue for the Israeli is the world's #1 spiritual issue. I was talking specifically about pragmatic American issues. But Israel is a separate thing that kind of hovers over everything. But besides Israel, amnesty is the #1 danger.

By the way, I think that the birth certificate issues for Obama are coming to the fore now precisely because HaShem is angry with him for promising to divide Jerusalem. We should watch and see what happens when they tell him to produce his birth certificate on December 1.

I would not support Buchanan or Ron Paul because of their stand on Israel. That's understood.

Let me put it another way. The issue of illegal immigrant amnesty to the U.S. is the same as the issue of "the Right of Return" to Israel. Both mean suicide.

Can't really blame any single politicians. Americans (and I mean WHITE Americans) are all moving to the left on immigration. In 2006, suburban Tuscon voters voted anti-illegal congressmen out of office because they were "scared" by their rhetoric. People have really bought into the idea that illegals are doing nothing wrong and are just "working hard" to support their families.

I had previously read that interview and was not happy about
her Pro-Amnesty position.

First of all,  it was very stupid to do a Univision interview and pander
to the Hispanic vote,  which was already lost cause.

I don't know if her words reflected her true beliefs
or whether she was instructed to parrot McCain's position.

Either way, I hope she changes her view by 2012.

You're absolutely correct! The socialism is the root of the problem. However immigration is one of the most painful problems associated with socialism.
