Let-be-land's National Day 2008
« on: December 02, 2008, 09:16:20 PM »
Let-be-land's National Day is on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday that falls on or closest to December the 3rd (Gregorian Calendar); and on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday that falls on or closest to Kislev 18th (Jewish Calendar).
For this year it is on Wednesday, December 3rd 2008 of the Gregorian Calendar and on Monday, Kislev 18th 5769 of the Jewish Calendar (Dec 15th 2008).

Ruler's Message:
To Letbelandic Citizens, Friends, Friendly Nations and Institutions, to every Human Being.
We are on the eve of Let-be-land's seven aniversary. When Let-be-land was founded seven years ago, we were hearing and watching sad news on the media, tragic terror attacks in USA and Israel. Now, seven years later, terror still strikes in different places of our Earth. Just a week ago, it happened in India.
Most of us can do very little to change the world. We cannot improve world security and we cannot combat hate and cruelty in distant places. It is the task of world Governments.
But we can always do some good in our environment, in the place we live in...And every good deed carries the reward of a greater good.
There are times when we can do nothing, but there are also times when we don't want to do anything. Many times we see poeple suffering unjustice, sadness, loneliness... and even when we can do something we prefer to stay idle. But we must remember that each opportunity we waste may not come back.
So, when you read this message, take a moment for yourself  to think. Is there anybody who may need your help? Is there any good thing you could do for someone? Are you perhaps hurting some person? May it be that anger, pride or just ignorance is preventing you from understanding other's feelings or problems?
May it be that the cries and complaints of someone to whom you don't pay attention are justified after all? May he/she have a reason to be sad that you just don't understand? Have you ever tried to imagine yourself being in his/her situation?
As every year I invite you all to make an extra good deed on this day. And those who have linden trees blooming in your town, remember to place some linden flowers at your home or place of work at this time. Let it be a reminder to you. A reminder that your chance to make a change for the better may be now.
May the A-lmighty who created Nature and Time bless you all, and may His will and His purpose of freedom, joy, peace, health and growth be fullfilled in us as it is in Nature.
