It isn't that he's sympathetic to the Palestinians, he's just looking for an excuse to hate Jews.  The rising anti semitism around the world is frightening.  It's like the holocaust never happened.  Infowars posters are saying death to jews, death to Israel.  Marches in the US where muslims are allowed to shout Jews to the ovens; that's not free speech, that's evil.
