Ruby,

You would be surprised.  American kids are really lacking in education.
Presently in schools, history and geography are two of the subjects that are extremely distorted and bias.  They are not taught based on facts and real data.

It is really a distressing situation.  Our schools are doing a disservice to our youth.

Most kids are dumb because of the wrong education. Of corse are the muslim kids always stupid because they only want to learn how to blow themselfs up and how to fly an airplane into a skyscraper.

Our schools may be doing a disservice to our youth but the schools, and the whole public education system, is not in place for the youth of the country but for the teachers' union and their communist/socialist members.

Bullcat, you are correct.  When parents relinquish their responsibility to their children's education by not overseeing it you get what you have today.

The best school systems I think are in Sweden, Norway and Finland. The German system is dreck.

I think that's an unfair assessment, the general western worlds youth are lacking in education or are flat out ignorant as they don't care or don't have the will to learn.

While the US has 300,000,000 people, it's safe to assume that a good portion are going to be quite ignorant. There are many American youth who are educated however.

I think it's wrong to say "All Americans are fat and dumb". Most Europeans say that! My old teacher said it also once. He said that all Americans are that dumb like Bush. There are a lot of Germans who say America is stupid.
Typically German or European statements:

The weather is bad! Why? Because of America. Why America? Because they make the global warming.
I have no money! Why? Because of America. They make everywhere war!
I have no oil! Why? Because of America. They use to much oil, they rob everything!

America is the superpower and we have to subordinate. I am sure most things America did were right and I fully support the USA.
