My grandpa had to undergo a heart surgery, which didn't go well due to several complications that occured.
Hard to believe whats going on. I had him on the phone only hours before the surgery and he was as calm and positive as ever.
Right now he is in critical conditions.

Please pray for him, he needs God's help.

Is he sedated with medication?
Remind everyone who visits him, to let him know they are there supporting him and waiting for him to get better. He can hear, even if he is sedated/sleepy.
People seem to do better if they have the desire or a reason to live. Family, depending on his getting better, is a good reason. Stay updated closely on his care. That keeps the hospital staff on their toes. It seems you get sick quickly, but recovery is in baby steps. I will pray for your family too. They have to help him recover.

It is amazing what the prayers of JTFers seem to be able to accomplish.

I'm not sure about the medication he gets right now.
Currently he is in an artificial coma and placed in the intensive care unit.
As soon as things are more stable we will visit him, right now we are in contact with the doctors.

Your grandfather is in my thoughts and prayers. The doctors do great work with hart problems today G-d willing he will recover well.

Although he is still in the coma, there have been some slight improvements!

Hopefully this trend continues, step by step.

His heart is doing well so far, but his lungs are making trouble. In addition to water he got an infection in his lungs.
Please keep on praying!

You were completely right. He reacted to contact by trying to open his eyes and turning his head slightly although he's still in coma.

I'm glad to hear that his heart is doing well. That is important.
It is quite common for people to develop a pnuemonia, if they are on a respirator. Hopefully, the antibiotics will help.
Keep an eye on how his kidneys are functioning. If he develops any problems, make sure a kidney specialist is consulted.

I will continue to pray for him and your family.

Update:

My grandfather's health has made considerable progress and now it is no longer necessary for him to be in the intensive care unit!
