If you've followed Olmert's life and career for any length of time, then you'd know that he desperately wants to give up all of Judaea, Samaria, Golan, and half of Jerusalem.
He desires it so bad, that for years he's begged American leaders of both parties to sanction Israel & put unbearable pressure on her, so that she would be forced to submit to all Arab demands.
Olmert's one of the "Old-School" Labor Zionist Bolsheviks, who follow the same party line they had back in the 1930's.
Reality has no bearing whatsoever on their agenda.
Jews murdered, raped, mutilated by suicide bombers every day of the week?
No problem for Olmert, Peres, & the others...to them these are merely the "painful compromises for peace" which they promised the Jewish People & the world they would deliver.
Some of those jokers have even gone on record calling for more murders of Jews, so that the nationalist camp & religious Jews would get the message and withdraw from all lands where they weren't wanted.
These guys are so insane, they they literally gave the PLO weapons, and and honor guard escort picked up Arafat & flew him to Israel to set him up as a "peace partner".
Their reasoning: "...You'll see...yes...they'll kill lots and lots of Jews...but that is just they're releasing some steam...as soon as they see we've withdrawn from land and recognize them...there will be instant peace!..." "...And, of course, anyone who opposes our agenda, is a terrorist and a racist and a fascist, and we will arrest and crush them...".
