Dear Chaim,
You're going to think I'm old fashioned for saying this. The internet is great for disseminating mass quantities of information quickly to anybody who happens to be interested. But the internet is an abstract and etherial medium. If we want to grow, then I think we have to give people something substantial and concrete.
Despite what many people think, print is not dead. Not by a long shot. I still see religious Christians handing out miniature, paperback bibles. Jehova's witnesses do this also. What if we posted a brochure on our site, then our members could print them off and give them to their friends? There's nothing like having something in your hands.
We could take this further perhaps and maybe make some other paraphenalia, like T-shirts, coffee mugs, baseball hats, bumper stickers, etc. All with an eye catching logo.
This sort of campaign could work particularly well in Israel, I think. While I'm on the subject of Israel, it might be a good idea to groom a candidate from Hayamin who is charismatic and a good speaker, and who could try to talk to people on the street like Rabbi Kahane did. (But that's a separate topic).
What do you think of all this? I think we need to think big and be agressive.
Thanks,
Zachor_ve_kavod.
