Pope breaks right wrist in fall

Pope Benedict XVI has suffered a fall and broken his right wrist while on holiday in northern Italy.

The Vatican said the 82-year-old pontiff had accidentally slipped during the night in his chalet.

However he was able to celebrate Mass in the morning in the alpine town of Aosta, before undergoing surgery to re-align the fractured wrist bones.

A hospital spokesman said the operation had been successful, but the Pope would have to wear a cast for about a month.

He left hospital after an operation under local anaesthetic that lasted about 20 minutes.

The Vatican said it was the first time Pope Benedict had been treated in hospital since his election in 2005.

He insisted on being treated like any other patient and waited his turn for an X-ray, Italy's Ansa news agency says.

He has been staying at a house in the village of Les Combes in the Valle d'Aosta region. It was a favourite vacation spot of his predecessor, Pope John Paul II.

I think it is interesting that both Hitlery Clinton and the Pope both broke their wrists after coming down against Israel on the side of our enemies. I have heard some A7 radio personalities reflect on the possible divine punishment of those who injure Israel and cause death to the Jewish people.

Realistically, the phrase is untranslatable, so all of those words work.

Literally it says "may my right hand forget", often translated as "may my right hand lose its cunning", which also captures the meaning.

As for the pope, יש דין ויש דיין

What are you talking about? Clinton is pro-Jewish? I never heard this... What has she done for Jews and Israel? Everything I have heard her say is completely in line with a strategy of destruction of Israel. The suicide solution is not pro-Israel...

I have heard that the Pope has 20 000 bodyguard soldiers and he is the most protected person in the world (with the US, Israeli prime minister). Is it right? I'm going to quote my cousin, it was very funny, maybe he just joked.

Funny.   Was she "pro-Jewish" when she gave Arafat's wife a nice big hug and a kiss in public after she claimed that Israel was daily using poison gas on the "Fakestinian people" causing increased incidence of cancer in women and children? 

Is she "pro-Jewish" now when she demands that Israel force all Jewish residents out of all settlements outside the pre-1967 borders (some 300,000 Jews who live there) to have their homes and lives destroyed, as official policy of obama whitehouse and her state dept?     This is "pro Jewish" ?
