Has anybody here been baptized or been to a baptism? Is it just the Christian version of going to a mikveh?
It is a ritual sign that somebody has become born-again; i.e., has converted to Christianity.
But I believe that a baby is baptised once and they are 'purified' for life...
Someone getting baptized is not a victim! You've watched too many Simpsons episodes.
So it has to be done in a body of water or can the priest just sprinkle water on the "victim"?

I barely read what it meant with my shabby Hebrew skills...But I also discovered that google has a hebrew->english translation site : http://translate.google.com/translate_t?hl=enHe doesn't know what you mean by this statement... I think it is from some TV show or cartoon or something...

The New Testament itself never shows infant baptism and I personally don't think it serves any purpose. Baptism was originally meant as a sign that someone had converted. A baby can't choose its religion.
